TGWTG Nostalgia Chick / Lindsay Ellis / TheDudette - aka Hotdogs in face girl

Sadly, Tucker knows these people better than they know themselves.
This is basically why the Trump caused them to have aneurysms.
When you call out this behavior they freak out and try to present themselves as being the just when if anything they're like a bunch of Tasmanian Devils yelling and destroying everything that even dares differs from their seasonal ideologies.
The issue with the leftist ideology is that they want to tear down everything and rebuild it a new every decade but then that very thing that was built is considered outdated and needs to be torn down again.
Aside from the obvious issues with this it means that people once considered game-changers will eventually become the villains of the modern day leftist which is where Lindsey and Contra are about to find themselves.

Reminds me of the 1793 political cartoon depicting Robespierre, having executed every last person in France, being left with no one else to execute but the executioner himself.

Just as the French Revolution devoured its own children, all social and political movements that become zealously and self-righteously obsessed with enforcing inflexible ideological / moral purity will inevitably cannibalize themselves.
The reason conservatives do not fall prey to that is because they agree they should keep things as they are. When they get to "let's get back to the good old days" they are as bad, because they can't agree on what the good old days was, as we see in many conservative/reactionary movements ending up cow farms.

It's not hyperbolic at all, it's why Jon Stewart became a hermit after the Rally to Restore Sanity.

Mockery only takes you so far... Sooner or later you need policies of your own. All they've got is bad fiscal policy and a rump of wishy washy social issues. They're remarkably ineffective, considering the public ought to be sympathetic for everything the left stands for.
I mean, even people like Donald Trump seem to have plans to make their dreams and policies a viable reality, and they don’t always seem to go guns blazing. The leftists seem to always want the immediate things to happen in the name of some progressive utopia, like getting rid of statues they hate.

I quit Facebook and Twitter back in January and I kind of feel like I quit smoking or something. It feels nice.
Internet addiction is real, homie.

Now we all just gotta unplug and live in a wood shack in the middle of the forest lol
It definitely is real, and I did the same thing back in January as a New Year's resolution. Constantly checking Twitter every day became my own addiction, and I could feel it effecting me and my work in several negative ways. I grew more impatient, I grew more quick to frustration and anger, and perhaps worst of all, my quality of writing gradually diminished. Minor powerlevel, but as a college student majoring in History, it is absolutely vital that my written arguments and research are extensively detailed, properly formatted, and well-written for them to effectively convey the messages I try to make through my writings. Because of my small-scale Twitter addiction, I found myself wanting to just skim through my readings as quickly as possible so I could see what else I could get outraged at, and I can see clearly now how foolish that was of me. Thankfully, I mustered up the self-respect to get rid of something that was obviously doing me harm, and I have never felt happier with social media completely out of my life. My writing quality almost immediately spiked for the better, and with the burden of social media out of the way, I feel more free to be as prolific and detailed in my works as I wish.

Contrary to public sentiments, no one really needs social media at all. The most I could argue is that everyone should have a LinkedIn account for professional purposes. Besides, if you don't have social media, then the likelihood of getting cancelled is significantly decreased. Let the idiots destroy themselves.

i'd say that having a facebook profile can be useful to stay in touch and keep up with family/friends, especially those who life in a different city or state.
but yeah, beyond that it's all pretty worthless.

in my opinion, public-facing social media is useful for two things only: political propaganda and commercial marketing. so if you're not there as a professional propagandist or marketing shill, then you're the one being propagandized and shilled to.

If you want a peek into the world liberals describe, look at Haiti. The vast majority of public services are provided by NGOs. In other words, Haitians don't own their own land. The State Dept. regularly accuses them of corruption even though we deposed their elected President in the first place (twice).

Dems are idealogues. They will work with Republicans to keep us locked on-course:

Sounds like someone is advocating the ways of Ted.
"Out of the crooked timber of humanity, no straight thing was ever made."

We can go back to the trees and kill each other over berries, or keep our mobile pacifiers and die of boredom. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ #IHaveNoFaithInAnything

That was your grandmother's feminism. In modern feminism, women are the main enemies of "feminists," who are now men in dresses demanding their cocks be sucked by lesbians.

People like Lindsey are why I got the hell out of the left.

The issue with them is that they tear down whatever progress they make.
Lefties- Hollywood is incredibly racist and xenophobic because racism is embedded in the USA's DNA
Hollywood- tries to be more inclusive and creates a bunch of products that don't revolve around a person's race
Lefties- NO, you need to acknowledge the differences between people and single them out based on their race.
This is basically how far up their ass the left gets and that factor alone is why nothing ever truly progresses.
Whatever progress is made gets completely torn down and a new narrative it's crafted to explain why things are not better than they were five thousand years ago.

I used to be a good little Progressive as well but the Trump era is basically what caused me to swear off on it all together.

What passes for progressive in the U.S. is really pinkwashing.

Chomsky had their number 30 years ago. Liberals are anti-racist, but only because they're anti-human.

Chomsky had them pinned down 30 years ago. Neoliberals are anti-racist, because they're fundamentally anti-human. Whatever happens to us is irrelevant to them and is part of le grand experiment.
I keep hearing people talking about Chomsky's insight on this, but I can never find where he actually said these things. Got a link for an ignorant farmer?

Chomsky tends to repeat himself, so I point people to Understanding Power, which is really a collection of his talks.

He's an okay starting point (his critique of the MSM are still relevant).
