Musicians that are also Lolcows?

Iommi is definitely a cow. He's not as bad as Lars Ulrich or whatshisface, that neckbeard sperg from Machine Head, and perhaps I'm just biased because I hate all of Iommi's "music". But yeah, he's right up there for me!

Apparently, back when they were kids, Iommi used to cyberbully Ozzy IRL. Now all he does is ride Ozzy's coattails (and Dio's, too).

Michael Tyack, the singer for the band Circulus. He’s pretty harmless but has some cow views like believing in fairies and that you can tap into the energy of places like Stonehenge to access the universal consciousness

Genesis P’orridge from Throbbing Gristle was pretty cowish also. Practiced some weird hodgepodge of paganism, was extremely vocal about his hatred of Christianity and along with his wife underwent plastic surgery to become a “pandrogynous entity” together where they physically represented one another

Prince fucked a bunch of the female musicians he worked with. Such as Shelia E, Susannah Melvoin, Denise Matthews (Vanity), Susan Moonsie, Robin Power, Carmen Electra...the list goes on. I guess people still think because he was short and feminine looking that he didn't get around much. If anything, Prince was rumored to have multiple female partners and orgies at Paisley Park. Prince himself however wasn't as respectful of women as he made himself out to be. He was often very controlling of his colleagues to the point where he would tell them how to dress and how to eat.

I honestly consider Prince to be much more weirder than say Michael Jackson, because Prince would just say or do really strange things with no explanation. I had a conversation with one of my friends about how Prince became a Jehovah's Witness in the 2000s and they said something really interesting about how mostly; really crazy people get involved with that. MJ for instance, stopped getting involved with JWs after Thriller because they hassled him about the music video which had "occult" elements which was against their teachings. MJ didn't even celebrate Christmas until 1993 because it was ingrained in him since childhood to not partake any holidays.

After Prince became a JW he stopped cursing or doing the raunchy things he was famous for, this including not singing some of his more explicit songs like Darling Nikki. He would also make really odd decisions with how he distributed his music or videos. At one point he started removing his music videos from MTV and VH1's websites around 2007-2008. Some fans tried to archive them on a now defunct website called imeem and they stayed up for about a year until the website was bought out by MySpace. For about a decade, the only way you could watch Prince's music videos online was through Chinese or Russian websites. Prince did however make a temporary site where you could watch all his music videos, but the catch was that it cost about $77 to gain access to it all (the site was only up just to promote one of his albums, Lotus Flower).

He also had a child with Mayte. He was born with Pfeiffer Syndrome type 2 and died at six days old. Prince had a tough time and would talk about Amiir as if he were still alive in several interviews.

Mayte also dated Wade Robson and Tommy Lee. So her choices after that were rather lolish.

Worse, the movie itself was cancelled and never released. It's basically the 90's equivalent of Kiss's "Music From The Elder" album.

I've always heard these rumors about Garth Brooks secretly being a spergy weirdo IRL even before I was online. Like, these rumors date back to at least the 90's.

Unlike the wild and crazy rumors about Michael Jackson and Marilyn Manson where the rumors had some kind of obvious origin point in real life, I never could understand why Garth Brooks got all the weird rumors too.

The only crazy or spergy thing that he's publicly done was the Chris Gaines album, which could be chalked up to a poorly planned marketing idea fairly easily.

If he actually is an eccentric lolcow IRL but has good managers who can effectively tard wrangle him, that would explain a lot.

I've heard rumors that Garth Brooks wanted to be a pop singer from the start and that's what caused the whole Chris Gaines thing to transpire. I actually would have watched the movie. I think it would have been lulzy.

Feldman. He did some insane concept album, Angelic 2 The Core, which to his credit was so bad it made Anthony Fantano actually entertaining to watch when he was reviewing it.

His latest album is even worse. And so are his delusions about it.

He has a bunch of albums before that too. I imagine those are just as bad.

Feldman had a meltdown over people making fun of his performance on morning television. Apparently we all hurt his feelings by laughing at him.

I don't know if he ever paid his band. Many of the girls complained of controlling treatment and lack of payment as promised,

Editing because I want to add that he forced them all to be vegan and the diet was very strict. His wife is a vegan nutjar with recipes that could make The Fit Vegan Ginger cringe. He intentionally chose to "mentor" girls from difficult backgrounds and gloated about it. Meanwhile he was just continuing the cycle of abuse by treating them like garbage and promising them stardom.

Most of the Angels lived with Corey and his wife. And there was always talk that he expected orgies.

He thinks he's a mix of Hugh Hefner and Michael Jackson. And he is never naming any major league Hollywood pedophiles. But he'll keep using that promise to grift.

Someone noticed that in one of his videos that took place after begging he had new, expensive furniture. He also takes vacations often. His fangirls are paying for all that plus his drugs. And his wife's mango obsession.

Just because you had a Feldman pinup in your room in 7th grade doesn't make him a stand up guy. The middle age fans I get since the two Coreys were huge in the 80s and early 90s. But the younger fans? What do they see in him? He's become a freaky little gnome.

Dahvie Vanity is a horrorcow and his molesting Jessie Slaughter is directly responsible for her notoriety and increasing how fucked up her life is.

ICP is low hanging fruit and it's hard to gauge just how self aware they are/how much of an act it is. But I'm going to give it to them because of the time Violent J wore a fursuit to go to a furry convention with his daughter.

This was awhile ago and it might be in his thread anyway, but someone on Metal Sludge posted his gross looking wigs and hairpieces. Very unsanitary. They don't look like they ever get cleaned. His scalp must itch like crazy.

What comes to mind immediately for me is Spaceghostpurrp. He used to be friends with A$AP Rocky and his collective but he fell off and now all he does is go on schizophenic rants on twitter and Instagram live
Amazed that there is no thread on SGP, He is the only man that I know to get into a twitter argument with a 11 year old and lose.

Not to mention playing with musical shitposting ensemble Naked City.

Hunter Hunt-Hendrix, frontmanwoman of the Black Metal TRANSCENDENTAL BLACK METAL band Liturgy might be considered one.
Liturgy was, at the start, just a basic american Black Metal band that kinda stood out by looking extremely hipstery, but the first album was pretty decent in my opinion. Upon closer look you'd then hear Hunt-Hendrix screeching about his manifesto, TRANSCENDENTAL BLACK METAL, burst beats, and whatever the fuck is going on in his head. He wrote a full manifesto about how his music totally isn't Black Metal, but Transcendental Black Metal, and blast beats played at a more fluid time is something radically different. Honestly, early Liturgy didn't sound much different than other american acts at the time like Krallice or Wolves in the Throne Room, and after the second album I kinda forgot about them.
Since then, Hunter Hunt-Hendrix has dived completely into the uber-pretentious world of philosophy, wrote the "Transcendental Black Metal: A Vision of Apocalyptic Humanism" and the electronic music album "New Introductory Lectures on the System of Transcendental Qabala", and of 2020, trooned out.
The newest Liturgy album, "Origin of the Alimonies", thus surely isn't about him anymore.
He's on the cover, though.
maxresdefault.jpg
Yeah, that's him.
He has a Youtube channel where he cowers in front of a wall like a very sane person and talks about stuff.

/edit: It's weird. As a musician he is undoubtedly somewhat talented, but holy shit he's the pinnacle of pretentiousness, trooning out will only lead him on a path to worse.
The kid of two self-help book authors. He never had a chance.

Wow, that was very informative. Never heard of this guy before but thanks to your post I finally know whose example Magpie Killjoy is following, who BTW is my contribution to this thread. I have posted about him a couple of times before on this forum, but TLDR Magpie Killjoy is a professional troon, a disgruntled anarchist, the originator of the steampunk hype, a sci-fi author, the boyfriend of professional SJW Laurie Penny and is the leader of an SJW TRA black metal band called Nomadic War Machine. But before we get into that part of his career, here is Occupy Santa Cruz alumnus Margaret P Killjoy aka Magpie in pre-trooning mode:

Yet another Anarchonihilist soyboy who has jumped on the transtrender bangwagon, "she" even has a feminist death metal band.

(before any vegans come at me about this, i got my 20 year chit and the main thing ive learned in that time is that browbeating people isn’t an effective or ethical means of reducing animal suffering)

He cares about animal suffering but will happily shoot humans asking him a simple question:

i promise you that somewhere there's a girl with a pink bedazzled pistol in her waistband who is really fucking glad she has it when she's followed down an empty street by some man shouting "are you a boy or a girl"

Here are his tweets about his last music video:

stills from the Nomadic War Machine music video i’m editing that friends in Finland shot. it’ll be funny when the terfs and nazis who troll my videos assume this nonbinary drag performer is me and make wild accusations about gender and bodies.

You vain narcissistic asshole, you know no one is going to mistake that performer for your bloated chubby ugly aging body.

Magpie is a "lesbian with a diq" and if you disbelieve you're a fascist just like JK Rowling whom he constantly rage-tweets about:

because it's in the news because of She Who Shall Not Be Named, just a reminder that plenty of lesbians have penises. some are strap-on, some we were born with, some are surgically constructed, and some are severed from our foes and kept in jars or strung on necklaces.

if you want to support me as a trans creator, fight fascism. Like read my books that's cool, but right now? fight fascism. Fight fascists. Destroy white supremacy and transphobia. Please. that's how you stop JK Rowling and all the fucking rest of the people trying to destroy us.

and before you come at me about how JK is only a TERF not a white supremacist, i don't really give a fuck right now there's a fucking global war that's always been here, and it's picking up steam again, and TERFs and white supremacists are on the same side of that conflict.

Here is one of his online bios:

MARGARET KILLJOY is a transfeminine author, born and raised in Maryland, who has spent her adult life traveling with no fixed home. A life on the road has given her a healthy respect for hobos, street kids, and other elements of the criminal class. A 2015 graduate of Clarion West, Margaret’s short fiction has been published by Tor.com, Strange Horizons, Vice’s Terraform, and Fireside Fiction amongst others. She founded SteamPunk Magazine in 2006, and her nonfiction books have been published by anarchist publisher AK Press. Margaret’s wrote A Country of Ghosts, a utopian novel published by Combustion Books in 2014. She is also the author of the Danielle Cain series, starting with The Lamb Will Slaughter the Lion, from Tor.com Publishing. She blogs at birdsbeforethestorm.net and says things as @magpiekilljoy on Twitter.

This bio is even better, and has that semi dangerous air of "ooh, woo, I know dangerous criminal people"

These were the only critical comment of a Magpie Killjoy interview I was able to find anywhere on the internet on any site, anarchist or otherwise:

MagpieKilljoyFuckThisGuy.jpg

Actually, screw this guy. While the effort to "politicize" punk when building from nothing was understandable in the 1990s, politicizing goth and scifan fans takes it to another level of absurdity.
If we anarchist ideas to be confined to yet another ludicrous subculture - then go for it, join the Magpie fanclub. Personally, I find these idiotic micro-stars of the "anarchist scene" just prove how far from a revolutionary movement the current USA scene is. It's just a sad joke. Obviously in the middle of a fucking economic depression the best thing to do is to write mediocre fiction and make secondrate music. Good luck on Fraggle Rock!

Yawn on this whole article. It's like some junior high fanclub sort of thing for a guy, who while nice, is not saying anything remotely interesting nor has he done anything politically new or interesting. What's next, a picture of Graeber's ass so we can lick it?

You can knock that quote. I'm sure the thing that really scares Nazis is people talking about hitting them over the head with heavy things over the Internet. Could Magpie intelligently address fact that groups like the EDL or Tea Party are actually gaining more traction with many working-class folks than say, anarcho-goth or any anarcho movement rather than tough guy posing?

In 2008 he wrote this story about All The People Who Died, and despite it all he refuses to embrace a more peaceful existence and instead advocates for more death and destruction.

Maybe Darkstar and Sali can live on as legends because they died before their lives were complicated by age. Before attendance at huge demonstrations flagged, before it got harder to get by on petty crime and activism.
...
I still wander, but it’s nothing like it was. The road is a lonelier place for me these past years. Ten years ago, if I saw someone in California in May, I’d like as not see them in New York come August. We floated around the country and world, independent but loosely interwoven.

There’s a new generation out there, to be sure. It’s not the same, but nothing ever is.

I can’t decide if I’m mourning a lost cultural movement or just my own lost youth. It was a magical thing we once had, and I like the idea that it’s still out there, opaque to me but vibrant and alive for those in it.
...
I’m not the frontline anymore. Myself and plenty others of my generation, we’re the reserve troops of anarchy now. We’ve got a lot more to lose — some of us have children or aging parents or careers, some of us have felony records or endless probation. A lot of us have trauma and PTSD and health problems. The “let’s go fight cops” bar is set a lot higher than it used to be, but we’re still here. We never stopped caring. Hell, most of us never stopped fighting, we just do so along different fronts and with different tactics.

So, kids, this is what happens when you become an aging sick punk with a criminal record. You spend the rest of your days fantasizing about mowing down people with machine guns and blowing up everything, and forming your own cult to fight another cult.

Oh well, 15 million dollars can't be wrong can it?

Happy trans day of visibility! Hi, I'm Margaret, the trans woman who manages the Seed Commons social media. Cooperatives wind up being some of the best workplaces for those of us who don't conform to gender expectations! *Transgender flag*

I suppose this is as good of a time as any to say I started doing work with Seed Commons, a cooperative of financial organizations that finance worker cooperatives, helping workers buy out their bosses or start their own co-ops.

Building the infrastructure for a just, democratic, and sustainable new economy. $15.3M deployed under community control in 100+ cooperative projects nationwide

I had to look this one up because this sounds like a fascinating piece of troon insanity. Whoever let the hipster faggots (i.e. Liturgy and Hunter Hunt-Hendrix) into black metal deserves to be stabbed by Varg until dead, resurrected, and then stabbed to death again for all of eternity. It's worth losing the few good projects/albums the hipsters produced if it means never having to suffer through shit like this. I mean look at the album titles or song titles, it's just dripping in that post-irony pretentiousness that typifies these losers. And this was over 10 years ago before the nonsense of Twitter and Tumblr-grade troon culture.

troon.jpg
There's a reason why most metal musicians don't take pictures like this, and it's because most of them are just average at best looking dudes with long hair. He's trying to pose like an "in touch with nature" or whatever beautiful woman who makes shitty new age stuff or whatever but looking like a generic metal dude with a 5/10 at best face it's a hilarious mismatch. I have no idea how or why anyone thinks this looks good, but apparently "Margaret" thinks it looks so nice it belongs on an album amusingly titled "Are We Not Monsters".

I make it a point not to learn too much about creative types, but I'm pretty sure John Schaffer (Iced Earth) is a borderline politicow.

You just gave me a flashback to when I was writing hip hop in my bedroom while my parents would go bowling. I used to have titles like "I ride my bike with no brakes to work" or "drinking from a water fountain with no water(?)" or I think the worst I ever came up with was "Living life like a story mode in a video game" something like that.

Brian Evans (writes and records drums for the band CHON) occasionally spergs out on Instagram, revealing his narcissim and inflated ego.
I know he doesn't meet the requirements for a cow but I've been wanting to post about this guy for a while.

You might know him as the "Dude, Fix Your Fuckin Face!" guy from Vanilla Sky. He was also one of the bandmates in Almost Famous

The Koz has been writing sad bastard songs since the early 90s, but for the past decade or so all of his albums are essentially spoken word diary entries. Since his acclaimed 2014 album "Benji", he's released over 10 records filled with mundane stories and diatribes, each more pointless and rambling than the last. Several of these albums are double discs, and more than 80 minutes in length. Almost all of these songs are about what he had to eat in this-or-that town, or the last conversations he had on the phone. It's quite Trumpian in a way

I honestly love this guy, I think he's hilarious. Some of his music is great. The asshole shtick that he maintains seems to partly be an act, but also just part of his nature.
Mark ranting in Nashville

Here's Mark's song about Michael Jackson- "he's bad, and he's dead and I'm glad!"

here's a Modest Mouse cover Mark did, the first track from an album of covers. I like this release quite a bit - he's a huge Isaac Brock fan apparently

I just checked out the Sun Kil Moon website and Mark has a new album out: Lunch In The Park http://sunkilmoon.com/
