Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

It hasn't been that long since my last report, but things are going about as I expected. Neither the governor nor the county has made any official policy, so nothing has changed. Every building still requires a mask, vaccination or not, because "we're waiting on government policy, muh private business, and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason."

Whew, I think things might be falling apart here.
Now there's a *gate concerning ICU numbers and hospitalisations. As it turns out, german hospitals have been rather frivolous with ICU numbers from the Coof to get more money, sometimes reporting more ICU cases than people hospitalised at all. The government readied like 500 million bucks to increase ICU capacities during the Coof, but apparently little of that actually resulted in actual capacities.
Furthermore, it seems like they put hospitalised cases into the ICU without the necessity to do so, because funding is dependent on how many cases are in the ICU. It would explain why the ICU capacity has been nearly constant throughout the pandemic. At the same time our Branch Covidian priests did a constant sermon of "We need to lock down now or the ICUs will overflow, people will die in the streets".
Most mainstream media seems to ignore it, so while I hope it's gonna be fun, it'll most likely be nothing. The Branch Covidians are already out in full force to spin it, and it won't really reach widespread news circles.

Yep, that seems to be the case all over. It just goes to show that it doesn't matter how good your intentions are, if you give a financial incentive for a certain behavior, it will almost certainly be abused. If the government is promising more funding to help fight the coof by giving bonuses for every coof case/death recorded at your hospital, then no shit you're gonna ride that gravy train as long as possible. Run those PCR tests over and over until you get a positive! Throw people in the ICU who don't need to be! List the coof as the cause of everyone's death, even if they got hit by a bus! Before long, you'll be rolling in the dough without really having to do more work.

It's shit like that that means we'll probably never have a true picture of how this scamdemic actually played out. Judging from what I've seen, my best guess is that we've had way more cases than the official tally and far fewer deaths. I'm about positive that we passed the herd immunity threshold even before the jabs were rolled out. People who are still neurotic about this idiocy are absolutely retarded.

The Twitter brigade regarding the whole ICU thing here is out in full force. Apparently every second Twitter user here is an ICU nurse or doctor, and they're genociding these poor strawmen.
No, dear "Antifa Nurse", it is not an attack on your work or how overworked you are. It is not an indication of how hard you are working or how some ICUs were indeed overfilled. It is about how numbers were fudged in general and how the total collapse of the health system never came to be.

The fun part is how academic scholarship over this event will play out over the next 25-30 years. There will be a huge field of study about the COVID-19 scamdemic since it's the single largest event in human history since WWII and it does have a pretty substantial death toll (mainly by virtue of the world having well over 7 billion people). I expect that as we get further from the event, more politicians and bureaucrats involve retire or die, and we have a generation who grew up under this, we'll see the scholarship evolve to the concensus that the lockdowns and measures were un-needed, were half-assed in almost every case, and the pandemic evolved as it did for political reasons rather than genuine public health concerns. I honestly don't see any other way it can be interpreted once the panic dies down and people take a look at the actual statistics and the measures taken.

The unfortunate part is that you're indeed right that we'll never get the truth on how infectious or dangerous the disease really was, other than "probably less than the official stats." We'll also likely never get confirmation of the really juicy details (unless some CCP leaders and globalist bosses end up swinging from lampposts) like the question of China's role in everything, the vaccine development and rollout being the way it was, or the link between this and the Great Reset. But I do think it's good enough knowing that one day "conspiracy theories" will become the facts.

It'll be really interesting if the world will ever be able to nail down exactly where the infection started. I'm not holding out much hope anymore since the CCP has been classifying and deleting tons of data over their covering/bungling of the outbreak last year.

While I personally doubt it, if the lab breakout theory is ever proven, the shitshow would be next level.

I agree that the academic part coming in the next 25-30 years will be interesting. Especially if the economy goes go belly up like everyone is expecting. We are going to have a nasty homelessness problem for a good long while once eviction moratoriums expire. I'm betting history will be really harsh on the shutdowns and they'll be seen as a direct cause of everything shitting the bed.

Even though it's unlikely they will find enough shit to make it stick, a big chunk of the planet will slowly pull back from China's supply chain honeypot.

It will mean China will still grow for more than a few years/decade, and will remain a very influential player, but there seems to be a concerted effort to 'diversify' at home and to other markets.

These kind of feel-good lefty virtue signal soundbites always piss me off, because they never explain how/why they feel a certain way, and never provide examples.

I remember yesterday and seeing a tweet from some large news organization (I forget who – probably AP or ABC) regarding Fauci's remark about COVID and racism, and almost all of the comments were smug liberals praising the statement and looking forward to trigger Fox News fans. But, not a single person asked why or how COVID has anything to do with racism, and no one even explained their reasons for agreeing with the statement. It was just, "Yep!! You tell 'em, Dr. Fauci! Fuck those racist COVID-denying white supremacists! #VoteBlue!"

It's just blind tribalism at this point: Fauci can make a public statement that the capital of France is Jupiter or that the Lincoln Memorial was built by ancient aliens to serve as a video arcade, and all of his followers will just nod in agreement unconditionally.

Pretty minor thing, but I thought it was amusing. I was taking the trash out at my job, from the back of the workplace, over to the trash compactor across the parking lot. Since I was outside, naturally, I took my mask off. There was a woman sitting on the curb right in my path from workplace to compactor, and every load of garbage I took, she'd pull her mask up when I got within six feet of her because, obviously, she cares about her health. Or so I would assume, had she not been holding a lit cigarette between her fingers. I'm sure that my unmasked face being within six feet of her for a fraction of a second is way worse than her smoking habit. How could I have been such a smoothbrain as to not realize that at the time, and mask up accordingly? smh at myself

So speaking of vaccine hesitancy, does anyone *actually* believe that the vaccines are implanting nanobots?

Like it seems to be the very first go-to strawman response fired off at any criticism of the covid-vax is the stupid nanochip/nanobot shit...
Lol nah. I just don't need to get medicated because my chances of dying from an overhyped cold are closer in magnitude to a vending machine mishap than things that actually scare me.

The fact that it sends the most awful people I've ever encountered into tizzies of rage when I state that fact just makes that fact fun.

Ideally that would be the case, but a lot of corporations are addicted to that cheap labor. Trump attempted to get manufacturing moving back to America, but his efforts either didn't go far enough or kept getting thwarted by the Chamber of Commerce and such. And with Xi's puppet Biden in charge now, don't expect the pressure to continue.

China has its own problems to deal with, though, notably their incoming demographic collapse thanks to decades of the One Child Policy. There are literally millions of men unable to find suitable Han brides to continue the glorious Chinese race, and the average age is increasing rapidly since very few are able to support a two-child family, even now that they're allowed to. There's gonna be trouble in China over the coming years, and we'll just have to see how it plays out.
