Yeah imagine this conflict suddenly occurring when Netanyahu and the Hamas scumbags are both facing internal criticism. I'm sure it's completely coincidental. I'm sure the leaders of these scummy populations would never have even considered getting together to arrange a fight to preserve their own interests.

Hey Hamas, just letting you know you could recruit a bunch of easy meat shields by saying that under Hamas rule of Israel you will issue state supplied GFs. And based on the userbase of /r9k/, /tv/ and /v/ you will no longer need kids for meat shields. You can have one meat shield per 3 towelheads, just tell them that either the next Kojima game, Lynch film, or college party available in Israel while you peak out from your position strapped to their backs. If you mention the age of consent you might get additional shields from /b/ and /jp/.

Being a politician or a leader is basically being a professional psychopath, playing games with the lives of others.
That is a prime reason why I roll my eyes at moralization, both sides are bad because war is about who can be the most underhanded and unfair.
Hamas will put the radio tower on the puppy hospital, and Israel will bomb it because it will demoralize the Palestinians if they don't have puppies plus taking out some enemy combatants is cool.

Nuking it would be bad for them considering the fallout would fall back on them and officially they don't have Nuclear weapons either.
The second option is bad optics, they claim their country only exist because some sort of genocide that happened to them.

Ultimately it's good for the state to be in a permanent cold war, especially if somebody else is paying for the military build up.

israel really is in a no-win position. living with the arabs is near impossible because of how hostile they are, but they can't get rid of them either because they depend on international support to keep their economy running and their military funded. keeping up the status quo is shitty but it's really the only option the jews have because all other ways forward would result in the jews themselves getting genocided or driven off the land for good.

I believe this stream is from Al-Zafer Building 9 (31.511845, 34.448558 ), it does seems to be pointed south east at the moment.
Only had a few mins to look so I may be wrong, but this streetview image shows landmarks the stream previously had in view.

It is not a great secret that "resistance" campaigns by groups like Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad bring far greater harm to Palestinian civilians than they do anything resembling liberation, but this incident is a small glimpse of how, and of the effects of militant groups firing hundreds of rockets into Israel from densely populated neighborhoods in Gaza.

Here's the thing, though: while incidents like this force Israel to decide between bombing civilian structures or allowing Hamas to use those structures as rocket storage depots, it does not actually force Israel to choose to bomb civilian buildings. It is entirely within Israel's power to not bomb civilian buildings.

Israel has overwhelming military superiority in the conflict, and while that does not make Hamas rockets disappear or obviate their very real effects on Israeli civilians, Israel is strong enough to choose not to bomb a mosque and a center for the disabled in Gaza, as it did on July 12. It can choose not to bomb Gaza beaches frequented by civilians, as it did on Wednesday, killing four boys between the ages of 9 and 11.

There is no indication that Israel deliberately targets civilians, as Hamas does. But Israeli air strikes in Gaza, targeting Hamas and other militant groups that choose to embed themselves among civilians, kill an overwhelming number of Palestinian civilians. Last week, two UN agencies separately estimated that 70 to 77 percent of the Palestinian deaths have been civilians. Human Rights Watch on Wednesday accused Israel of "targeting apparent civilian structures and killing civilians in violation of the laws of war."
