Old /r9k/ and /b/ ronryposting (circa 2009-2013ish?) used to be more self aware and humorous. It used to be a bit of a self help circle. The stuff I picked up in those threads actually helped me get my foot in the door when it came to meeting girls when I started uni.

It went downhill the same way the rest of 4chan did. Over time, inflammatory rhetoric became less of a culture, and actually genuine. I blame redditors for hyping up the place as an edgy shitposting ground.

I've had a morbid fascination with this whole Incel phenomenon for a while now.
One of the biggest key hiccups I've noticed with a lot of the incel crowd is that they're timid and tend to be pretty damn meek. On top of that they have absolutely zero attributes/talents to speak of to set them apart from a default status human being.. Like a fresh laptop right out of the box. No personalization or anything. Just default everything.
It's also a trend I've noticed in particular with the ones that end up shooting up the place. When you take a look at them there's nothing but a 100% plain human being rocking a mommy cut with a dopey semi vacant stare. Not a lot of looksmatching going on there.
You see a lot of BS talk about Gymmaxxing and whatever. Chances are that's mostly just bluster. Hit the gym but also never leave the house?
I've also noticed a few of them talk about martial arts classes etc. The thing is if you spend ANY amount of time in that particular circle you'll start befriending the people there very quickly. I mean you spend a couple hours a week mildly beating each other up within a positive growth environment.

I thought they were in their teens and early-twenties. Then again they're very age inclusive.

It's probably a mixture. Young men who didn't know how to make girls like them, so they got sucked into incel.is and /rk9/ and now spend their days shitposting about how "rape is good actually". It's not uncommon for the jaded 40+ failed men to basically groom teens into their toxic worldview that women are a secret cabal out to destroy them by not sucking their dicks.


The young guys who still have their whole life ahead of them and choose to be shut-in, misanthropic faggots are some of the saddest people.

There's also a pretty big theme with them not being honest about their ages as well. You see them eventually get caught up in their BS from time to time. Take for instance they're currently ripping at one user who was discovered to be 15 years old that's been there long enough to have a post count of over 20'000.

Never really understood the obsession with going to the gym and building muscles, being built like Arnold Schwarzenegger won't make women jump on your dick. I mean it's not a bad idea if you're already in decent shape and want to do some strength training but it won't help incels much, mostly because getting in shape won't make them less socially awkward and also because weightlifting often doesn't help overweight people. If they want to get in shape while experiencing some light social interaction hiking is great for that.

Shortcut to sex, absolutely. Shortcut to a long and meaningful relationship... eh not so much, unless your partner is big into fitness as well or is just super supportive of you. For me, and I think many others, weightlifting started as a vanity thing and then turned into a routine that feels good and healthy, I know it it for me.
