You knows what surprises me the most about Gura is that she might be the most professional out of all the holos and by that I mean she's the one that treats it more like a job, she never does something unless she absolutely has to, she practically never uses Twitter only for liking other holo streams and when she rt or likes artwork she always does it at an specific time of day and only once unlike the others who use twitter multiple times a day, also she's the only one without a reddit account. Also basically no interactions with people outside of Hololive the closest thing to that was when she drew sykunno a shark in a members stream months ago but the very next day his fans started spamming her during a calli collab and she fully ignores him even tho Calli and Ollie fallow him and like the comment he left under Guras tweet yet she ignores him also she does not fallow any vshojo member or vtubers outside of hololive. The Shark is not here to make friends she's here to make cash and I respect that.

I think this is more of a misunderstanding. Shien in one of his streams talked about how, while it is expected for fans to ask for a new generation (for Holostars JP, EN is not even an afterthought), it is better in his opinion to support the current gens. (And he also talked about how even if some members retired, they are still Holostars). I posted this clip hundred of pages back.

He's right, too. It's a bit disrespectful to ask for more members when the current ones are retiring and not really getting a lot of attention. I honestly forget that Tenma and Miyabi even exist.

As always, there's always the argument that different projections between branches means Holostars are actually succeeding (i.e. not reaching Hololive numbers isn't a signifier of a failing project), but with so many members dropping like flies it makes the most sense to steady the ship before welcoming in new members.

If Cover are good at anything, it's their timing. A new Holostars generation will definitely come, but the ones we have now need that support first and foremost.

I dont think it will make much difference for the Vthots, tbh.
The only market they could tap on is the JP one, and I dont think nips care that much about e-thots with terrible models (for the most part). and most western fans already have an opinion about them.

The 2D ones have grown on me, but yeah at first I didnt like them but I cant deny that tech-wise, they are impressive and well animated with a lot of expressions.
I cant stand the weird ass teeth tho, they are god awful, and the new 3D ones are kinda lame

To expand: Kanata's mother is basically a less dangerous version of Aloe/Delta's mother. I think Kanata has less of an attachment so she was able to move past that, but she doesn't even call her "mom." She does what most people do to their step parents regardless of their relation to them and uses her first name.

In so many words, Kanata basically despises and pities her mother in equal measure.
