Speaking on the Veibae clip, I thought it was gonna be something cool and thought maybe she got fed slander by Artia or Civia as they were getting fired, but no, the Veibae clip is just the most shallow and insipid shit ever and I don't think she watches Hololive at all. Her big complaint was the roleplay, but then doubling back and saying she likes their roleplay, then going back and saying she doesn't. Altho, she may just mean to say she likes their talent and she has problems with them not owning the models, which I guess to an indie is the worst thing ever, but I think the girls care little about it. You're in Hololive because at some level you're creatively talented and you probably knew people or they know you. What I'm getting at is, the big names that companies like Nijisanji and Hololive field don't need the model, Cover gave them what they DID need and that was an audience and a lot of the more popular talent didn't even get that and basically created it for the newer gens.

Also, lul Admiral Bahroo simping for Veibae is even funnier if that clip is the highest level of her critical thinking.

To expand: Kanata's mother is basically a less dangerous version of Aloe/Delta's mother. I think Kanata has less of an attachment so she was able to move past that, but she doesn't even call her "mom." She does what most people do to their step parents regardless of their relation to them and uses her first name.

In so many words, Kanata basically despises and pities her mother in equal measure.

Just tiny correction, Sayuri isn't Kanata's mom actual name. It's a name of an actress that Kanata look similar to her mom. And despite their rocky relationship. there isn't legit hate and deep wounded between them. Basically Kanata move out as soon as she can, but will still comeback to her home if her mom need something. A kind of hedgehog's dilemma. She can't leave her mom completely, but being too close to her is a no as well.

I do the first two but considering the only social media accounts I had before doing anything were a hardly active Twitter account and a locked down Facebook account, all I did was change the name and avatar on my main twitter account. A bunch of people do the same but they tend to be pretty soapboxy on their persona twitters (or they just didn't bother to make an RL account.)

One thing I honestly can't stand (and a few of my friends feel the same) is a trend in indie circles to do "icon vs owner." Pretty sure it died down but it was people doing side by side pictures of themselves with their avatars. The whole point of the vtuber thing is we don't give a fuck about your face so why destroy the illusion by doing reveals? Naturally, I also participated by posting art my friend commissioned of the two of us as a fucking joke.

From the looks of it, given what she said about the idols who had left and what they told her, and the fact the clip was before or during the Mano Aloe shitstorm, I'm going to assume Veibae was making shit up or was trolled by someone claiming to be Hitomi Chris, the only Hololiver to have graduated at that point.

Either way, this will either happen or management will stop it, and it will either just work out or blow up in Kiara's face. I don't think anyone here really cares either way, we're just here to watch the fallout.

I dunno where this "Panty and Stocking Sequel Coming Soon!!" meme started or why people keep spreading it every time Gainax comes up, when the creator have admitted multiple times that the anti-climax was the joke. There will never be a PSG follow-up because there was never supposed to be one.

As a viewer you have a god-like power, just change the channel - there are dozens other vtubers to watch at any given time and thousands of VODs, there is no need to watch an entertainer you don't like (on a side note: I think it is good to watch/read something you don't like from time to time, just to get a better perspective).

It's interesting, but does not necessarily imply that the female speaker calling herself "boku" identifies as a male. It is kinda weird and will raise some eyebrows among native speakers, but can also be a part of playing the "clueless" character by Kanata (can also be used to indicate tomboyishness). Quoting an incredibly based person, Clyde Mandelin, personal pronouns in Japanese are like clothing, which you change depending on how you want to be perceived (or how you feel or whatever). Some of them will make you look/sound like a massive fucking faggot though, like using the comical "ore-sama" irl.

I'm pretty sure Mint is Pomu, even on her debut there were emotionspergs 'crying' and saying 'okaeri' when she rolled up, with some comments just flat-out saying 'Maid Mint'. I didn't watch too much of her, but if Mint fans are convinced it's her then there's no inherent reason to distrust them.

Don't know who the fuck though Aadya would come back, though. That would be a PR nightmare.
