This is just difficult to believe. I can't fathom how she could resist the pain. I don't know of anyone who could do this to herself, it seems impossible. And to stop and steady a camera and take pictures. OR PULL YOUR FUCKING LIGAMENT OUT OF YOUR LEG WITH A KNIFE... I don't know if I can believe it. As far as i know, yes! Germans in general are really wary when it comes to all things associated with suicide, so i doubt that a german hospital would give her stitches without the gaping wounds raising any suspicion. Thats why i was confused about the fact that she wasnt taken in compulsary hospitalization yet, since i thought that all countries would handle it like that.

I agree with @AnOminous, she definitely has someone helping/enabling her. Also, she has to be on massive amounts of drugs, probably opiates, to be able to do that without passing out. Someone is taking the pictures. Someone is encouraging her to do this or at least not doing anything to stop it. That person is evil. I dunno what German law is on the subject, but I'd hope they could prosecute that individual for something. Neglect, or depraved indifference, or something. There's no way she was doing this on her own.

Its kind of odd, because after that guy basically confirmed she's still alive and in treatment, until he contradicts himself in the very last ask he received.

Part of me kinda hopes she's dead, assuming all of this is legit. If someone's exposing their arm bones and prying them out with a scalpel, then it's pretty obvious that they're beyond help. The only two options at that point are round the clock old-fashioned mental institution treatments (i.e. straightjackets, rubber rooms, shock therapy, etc.), or death.

I'm reminded of a news story I read...IIRC a passenger on a bus in Canada started eating the face of another passenger. The individual (you know, eating the face) is schizophrenic, and I want to say there was a shit storm once she/he was released from the psychiatric ward.
I know it's not the same scenario, but please allow me to elaborate: People with severe conditions are capable of doing things when their brain is not right. If you combine that with the right drugs, then you have a recipe for disaster. I'm really hoping it's latex and good photoshop skills, but damn.
