I find it entertaining. It’s kind of like listening to the late night radio shows that were on when I worked graveyard. I actually like The Creepoff more right now, with Karl and Vinnie. A true crime podcast hosted by two Rochester jackasses, and pretty much all the voicemails are just calling Vinnie a fatass and making fun of Karl’s snaggle teeth and club foot.

No that was Karl shitting on a podcast and someone from the discord contacting said podcast pretending to be karls producer and saying it was all a work and for the podcaster to go fucking nuts at him.
Karl didnt know this and shit on him for it, then found out about it and put a stop to it on the show.
The WATP discord is pretty funny, the trolling of Patrick Michael theyve done is fucking hysterical.

WATP is just Redbar-lite. If they actually went dug into why hosts of podcasts suck besides the most safe and vanilla critiques, like bad audio quality. and actually mocked these shows in ways that are funny, it would be fine.
Also, doing gay ad reads and chumming up with retards like Anthony Cumia and Dick makes Karl no better than any other run of the mill comedy podcast. At least with Redbar, it may be hosted by an unhinged lunatic who may-or-may not have groomed a child bride. but at least Mike David knows how to be funny off the cuff better than just about anyone.

I like the show overall. It’s not my favorite or anything (MATI of course takes that title) but I’ve been looking forward to seeing it get a thread here.

You have to be kidding. Those early shows are a tough fucking listen. Kevin seems like a nice enough guy, but god was the show awkward. He constantly gets stuck making a point and then trying to add to it, and coming up with nothing in real time and trailing off. Some of the impressions were funny, granted, but he leaned on it way too much.

Not every podcast from their early days is a winner, I know I zoned out of at least one completely, and the whole Pokémon GO one is cringe because they didn't bother learning about the subject at all, but in many ways better than what we have today. Taking the piss out of a cheesy Blue Apron ad read is fun, unironically doing an ad read for shaving your nuts is not.

Those raise several troubling questions. On the first, if it was "just a goof", then why didn't Dick explain it in further episodes?
On the second, he sidesteps the Digi identity issues--but inviting Digi and his crew over for anything more than just a recording session is a disaster waiting to happen. It could have some lulz potential but getting sucked into the Guntosphere is not going to benefit anybody.
Rumor was that SiriusXM wanted to dismantle O&A to not cannibalize Stern's listeners, probably why they ended up bumping Opie to the afternoon and eventually getting rid of him after he filmed a co-worker taking a shit.
