i don't even think that dream ever thought of his "character" being one with a mask- his whole logo/branding/whatever the hell you want to call it is just a poorly drawn guy with a smile. it's 100% on the fans and he's taking it, as well as their struggles because holy hell if you're this dedicated to minecraft white boys then you're clearly depressed, and using it for his own gain.

I would not be surprised if after a while he rebrands, as this will provoke a huge number of orders for merch with a new design.

This actually might be kinda true because it seems like sapnap lost weight after moving in with dream. First picture is him while he lived in Texas and the second is him after living with dream in Florida after a while. Maybe they are losing weight together.

I don't understand what it is with minecraft youtubers who have previously never shown any kind of interest in music just deciding to release these incredibly generic songs out of no where. Maybe ad revenue's gotten lower. Though badboyhalo does seem to have a tendency to follow in dream's footsteps (when dream made a shorts channel, bbh made one shortly after. When dream had a "story arc" on the smp bbh also wrote one afterwards, and now that dream has two songs out he's doing the same?) so I guess that could be a part of it.
