Don’t forget that testosterone is a powerful hormone with anxiolytic and antidepressant effects. It’s not entirely placebo, but they probably should have started with Prozac and not steroids.

Is lesbian dating scene this good in the States? I lived in my share of countries and remember it often being an absolute shitshow with everyone being each other's exes (= drama) or downright abusive/manipulative people on their 10th victim (= more drama). I would bet anything this girl is fat. Thin people can have sleep apnea, but it’s primarily a disease of fatties. That would explain the need to double bind to become flat. And likely a lot of the other problems stem from that — feeling unwomanly because you’re an unattractive genderless blob. Being fat can also make your periods worse.
And a high school dropout! She’s Jewish...her parents must be verklempt. Everyone else’s kid is going off to be a lawyer or doctor and theirs is doing this.
