It also loses half the point of prison, it isn't just about the punishment, it's also to free the law abiding from having to live next to criminals. Tgat's why back in the day criminals could choose between prison or being sent across the globe to settle in shitholes

Well to be fair, in the hypothetical scenario where they really felt like they lived out a sentence for 1000 years, by the time they got out their mind would probably be too broken to properly function in society anymore, let alone hurt anyone.

Omg its the goverments fault that the world is being taken over by corperations. But we shouldnt allow the goverment to do anything about it and just let the freemarket solve it even tough these large corperations have a monopoly on the market -t every liberterian ever.

I'm looking through this thread and it's just tweet after tweet of Shoe talking about politics and horny shit, it seems like it's all she does, and it blows my mind.

Like, bitch, are you kidding me? Why the fuck are you sitting there all day on twitter endlessly going on about politics you ultimately have very little say in when you're a fucking 30 year old mess of a human with no life whatsoever and no real friends, who's literally incapable of functioning without either your parents or a significant other who pretends to be your dad structuring your life for you, and you're so neurotic that you have to wear a wig to cover the results of your severe trichotillomania? Why are you even thinking about the motherfucking left and right and what strategies we should devise to fix all of society's ills when you apparently can't even devise the most basic strategies to fix what you see when you look in the god damned mirror?!

I say it often, but folks, political obsession is a serious progressive (in the medical sense) illness to be very wary of. People get sucked into it because they fall for the illusion that by constantly immersing themselves in politics it gives them an identity and somehow makes them more important and able to exert influence on the world, but the truth is the opposite: they lose their identity, they get weaker and less healthy, have less energy for when it's important, narrow their knowledge of the world and their skill set, become more out of touch with regular people and thus less able to sway them...then of course as a person stagnates and fails to make an impact they feel even more powerless and retreat even further into the obsession, spiraling down until they're a shell of a person.

I don't know who Shoe still has in her life, but someone absolutely needs to take away her access to the internet. She clearly can't handle it and she's never going to actually mature beyond the level of a teenager if someone doesn't step in and cut off her access to echo chambers where everyone collectively reaffirms each others' desire to reject personal growth and avoid taking the reins of their own life at costs.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. People who have a very fractured or incomplete sense of INTERNAL identity, be it because they perceive themselves to not meet societal and personal expectations or some other reason (for Shoe its societal and personal, she doesn't shut up about "Ironically" wanting being a tradwife for no reason), latch onto EXTERNAL identifiers like a group, message, hobby or even brands to try and anchor their sense of self.

This why politispergs, and many other types of people (mega "fans" of pretty much ever stripe), always look and act the same way. They are weak willed losers with few prospects in life who, instead of taking the hard look at the internal factors that lead to their fractured sense of self and working to correcting it, opt to take the path of least resistance and become a twitter socialist who blames everyone but themselves for how they are feeling like crap and their lives are falling apart. Its a cycle of self-destruction where they further drive themselves out of reality and into twitter, politics or whatever external entity helps them to escape their real problems.

I mean just look at Skeptic. The man is hardly someone to aspire to become. But, at least on the surface, he took a much harder road than Shoe to "fix" himself. He avoided the traps of making luke-warm political hot takes for easy views and dating someone even younger than Shoe. He uses twitter to shitpost and makes the videos he wants to make. While he did break up, the chick he was with did seem to be of appropriate age and maturity.

The fact that the relationship didn't last long is oddly another sign of maturity on his part and fixing himself internally. Instead of proposing and keeping the corpse of a relationship going for years past its expiration date, they broke up and he didn't make a big deal of it in public (he didn't really the first time, Shoe kind of forced his hand there). If he wants to hit tinder strange for the rest of his days and that makes him happy, then whatever. Its far healthier than what he had with Shoe.

If shoe acted like skeptic, this thread would not have exploded in the last few months period.

Didn't see it that way and I think you are correct. Besides, this was the first relationship he had after a very long one, so it makes sense it wouldn't last much. Or rather, it'd be off if he just moved from one engagement to another. Maybe it's good for Greg to remain single for a while.
