You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

With the discussion of gay people and pride circulating around twitter again, something that pisses me off is how people moan and bitch about not being able to openly practice their exhibitionism fetishes in a public parade with children or people whose entire sexual identity doesn't revolve around drinking and getting fucked in front of others. You ask them to keep their kinks at 18+ parties that most of the events host anyways, and they start whining about how you're "diminishing" gay people and their culture to appeal to heterosexuals. I'm not even a prude. Since when did spreading your asscheeks in public make you lgbt? The degeneracy.

Since homosexuality became a "lifestyle," and not an occasional adolescent stage that most who go through grow out of.
I would argue that it's neither a lifestyle or a phase (even though it could be for some), but I didn't come here to debate the validity of homosexuality. All I know is that I could never function with a man and don't find them desirable.

I swear there's a trash can on every corner of a city block, yet lo and behold, you still find trash on at least a single side of the whole thing.
Politicians making decisions that have easily foreseen consequences really chaps my ass. Over here they banned smoking in public and on a certain date they removed or plugged all ashtrays, then the unthinkable happened: over the coming days cigarette butts started being strewn all over the streets. How could this happen!

There should be something similar to jury duty where people are called to the local or national seats of power to sit around for a day. If the politicians start having stupid ideas they get smacked and told why it's a bad idea. 1 million for underground art aimed at worms while local retirement homes can no longer afford to serve coffee? That's a paddling.
Politicians are not kings or emperors, they're the elected jannies of society and should not be allowed to forget that.

Brining works wonders.

Hoard and horde are another two that seem to be used interchangeably and at random these days too.

‘Should of‘ and ‘could of’ in place of ‘should have’ and ‘could have’ deserve a swift execution and a perfunctory burial in a shallow grave.

And what is it about fire that confuses people so much?
You can light a fire, set something on fire, or help something catch fire. And we get these constant weird re-wordings such as ‘he lit it on fire’ or ‘he caught it on fire’ instead of ‘he set it on fire‘ or ‘he set fire to it’.

A lesser known one that irritates me endlessly is the past tense of ‘wreak’ as in ‘wreak havoc’. It’s not ‘wreaked havoc’ you fucking swine, it’s ‘wrought havoc’.

On the upside though- I’ve spent decades watching English grammar standards decline precipitously, especially around Ebonics. And when it’s pointed out, it’s gone from “well you know what I meant so it’s all right” ten years ago to “formal English grammar is racist, colonialist, exclusionary and a tool of white supremacy” today.
Well didn’t I have a good long laugh when black Twitter expressed outrage over the Ebonics being used when Elon Musk appeared on SNL. “There are RULES to AAVE” fumed one especially stupid nigger. Well, get fucked. You coons have been dumbing down my beloved language for decades. This is one time you don’t get to tell me how to feel.
Eye am abit of ashit when it cums to speling sumtyms. Meynly cuz I iz on dem fonez init, sumtymz its juzd to wynd peeple up 4 va laffs.

The decline in English is, IMO, down to laziness and phone typing. When I'm on my PC, I try (most of the time) to type correctly with good grammar - well, as good as I can be at being a mong, but i reckon, or hope, that it's the same for a lot of people. 'Text speak' because of laziness of fucking around with tiny little buttons.

I suppose the solution to that is not type when on mobile phone...

t’s sad too, because I remember when I first moved to the town I live in, it was not this littered, but over the few years I’ve been here it’s been getting worse. Plenty of small liquor bottles littered around too. I dunno, it just hurts my feelings if I’m being honest. Why treat your home like shit?
At my office, there is a bit of a space outside where people like to stand after hours to be out of the rain and elements. So, it's not uncommon for me to arrive the next day and find trash of various sorts including small liquor bottles, undrank Red Bull, cigarette butts, etc.

I swear there's a trash can on every corner of a city block, yet lo and behold, you still find trash on at least a single side of the whole thing.
What's worse is that there's a trash can at the nearest corner from my above-mentioned office next to the bus stop. but people don't seem to use it and leave their garbage wherever they feel. But nobody is taught any sort of good values, consideration, respect, or how to clean up after one's self any more. *sigh*

What the LGBTetc crowd that does this fails to grasp is that most people likely don't care about their attractions or bedroom habits but they also dislike anyone (regardless of orientation) that graphically and unnecessarily powerlevels about those aspects of their lives -- especially in front of young children. Bedroom stuff needs to stay in the bedroom and with trusted adult confidants only. However, some of the more vocal members of the "community" feel inclusion means people need to hear way-TMI details about their private lives whether they want/need to know or not and not wanting to know is -phobic.

Hell there's a reason why sex talk in general is frowned upon in professional settings or around people you don't know well. It's not like people don't tell frat bros to stfu about their blabbing of their one night stands, I think the lgbt community just takes things expected from everyone too personally.

What fucking autocratic regime do you live under in which it can be made illegal to smoke anywhere outside? Christ, my sympathies. Revolution is the answer.

Thing tax: the human body. Fuck this flesh prison. I just got the time and money where I can begin to do what I want with my life and now it's just starting to break down, not that it was in any decent condition to begin with. My only hope is that Japanese autists develop a replacement from carbon nanotubes and cheap plastic so I can toss my brain into it and leave this awful sack of decaying meat behind.

Perhaps this is my own striving for order and being excessively detail oriented, but it does piss me off from time to time how often just keeping up with daily chores, household maintenance, and other necessary shit takes - at least if you want to be a competent, well-ordered individual.

Hours each day just lost to oblivion. Oftentimes you're not really conscious of it, just paying attention to the task at hand. But it's when you fully realise the next few hours are entirely inconsequential, it really grinds my gears, man.

first i lose my blu ray of death wish 3 (and robocop 2) and now the dumbasses at Amazon are saying they declined payment for a replacement. Apparently they didn't charge me until after I had already ran out of money even though i was sure i WAS charged for it. Oh well im broke till Thursday at the least hopefully they wont cancel the order before then.

I just feel...incomplete without Death Wish 3, it's like that shel silverstien book the missing piece. Imcomplete as a collector and movie buff I mean as a person I feel bummed yes but not angsty or

This has bothered me for a long time, but I wish people weren't afraid to be open about hate. I get why people are weary of it. I understand it's a negative emotion that makes people uncomfortable. However, just like love, hate is a very real, valid, and normal emotion. Yes, some people can take it too far. Some people never learn to balance it with love. Often people can have stupid or petty reasons to hate. Yet, all the same, it feels better to be honest about it instead of pretending you only ever unconditionally, uncritically love.

To piggyback on what others have said about grammar, I get irritated when I see, “Such and such BE LIKE.” When did it become the norm to communicate like uneducated dumbasses?

And while I’m at it, how about the phantom T? “Curtains” become “cur-ins”, “mountain” becomes “moun-in”, etc. The worst I ever heard was “tattoo” becoming “ta-oo”. TA-OO! WTF?
