As this stuff has been winding down, it seems like we just came out of a war that we totally lost. Culturally we've beaten by joggers and BLM shit. We saw cities, towns, and artifacts get destroyed on livestreams. The Internet is now being openly censored with open aggression that I never expect to see in the US, and the entire country has been flipped over onto the coals of SJW CRT DEI shit. Think about that for a moment: the kinds of stuff we would laugh at here from tumblr, twitter, journos etc are now the very things calling the shots in government, business, and public spheres of influence. Sure does make the whole virus situation more sinister. Crisis is just another word for opportunity, after all. I'll always believe that people have taken advantage of this situation all along the way to make things better for themselves or to further their worldviews.

On the bright side, trust in the media is at record lows, people have more guns than ever which combined with the year of jogger riots is killing gun control efforts, Fauci is at last getting grilled over his links to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, "conspiracy theories" like "Cuomo put sick people in nursing homes and killed tens of thousands" or "the virus came from a lab in Wuhan" are now considered facts, pushback against gender ideology is taking off, and shit like critical theory is now a mainstream talking point rather than just being what someone might bring up when describing the ideology behind SJWs. Watch that last one, because parents nationwide are getting pissed that shit is being taught to their kids.

Meanwhile, the government's decisions are widely criticized, occasionally even by their own people, and widely recognized to have been made out of paranoia and fear that tens of millions of Americans consider them illegitimate. Biden is widely perceived as incompetent and weak given the constant government failures in his first few months of office, even by his own party who are back to infighting now they've lost the unifying factor of Orange Man Bad. And even though Donald Trump should've been finished politically after the Capitol protests, he's still out there and still inspiring people and arguably where he belongs since he's an "ideas guy" and makes a shitty president.

Things aren't as bad as you think. Even if things are more insane than ever, a lot of people are starting to realize what's going on. The powers that be overreached big time in 2020.

BBC story about how 'very few' people with double-jabs are in hospital with covid. Those that have died from covid with a vaccine, only died because they had underlying health issues.

A few questions:

1) What's the % of single vax:double vax of those in hospital? A single vax offers between 60-85% protection, depending on vax. Double vax offers 95%+. So for anyone to be in hospital with covid and two jabs, should only be 15 out of every 100 vaccinated people. Well, NOBODY should be in hospital with covid after a vax...

2) If the people who died with underlying health conditions took the vax, did the vax a) aid their demise or b) do nothing whatsoever? Either scenario renders the vax, a little more useless.

3) How are the people who have died in hospital and have been vaccinated counted in regards to death? Is it a covid death, a vax death or an underlying condition death? Are these deaths recorded the same as a person who dies in hospital with covid, with underlying health conditions?


I'll post the article in the Brit thread but the 'scientists' have come out and said we should delay opening the country (planned on 21st June) for 'at least a few more weeks' as there 'is the potential to see new variants push cases up'.

Finished up a zoom call with my friend in Melbourne Australia.

They're back in lockdown, fourth time in 12 months. It's not quite as bad as the 3 month lockdown, no road blocks or curfews.

Cases are continuing to ramp up so the expectation is they'll be in lockdown for at least a month.

Reported cases include people that have been fully vaccinated, which is apparently shocking to folks over there. They've totally bought into the vaccines stopping the coof.

Still big push on to get the airborne AIDS juice to as many as possible, I suppose because it's the one straw that they can cling to that will make things go back to normal without thousands of fat boomers dying.

Lots of talk about making vaccination mandatory from the Aussie Branch Covidians.

All the government dole that was handed out during the previous lockdowns is no longer available, so things will get desperate if the lockdown is a long one.

The state government, which is staffed by leftist wokies, decided to put a massive tax on businesses many of whom are barely solvent. Makes sense.

Vaccines or no vaccines Australia and New Zealand will eventually have to open up and damn the consequences. But I guess they'll keep punishing themselves with pointless lockdowns in the meantime.

I wish I was as optimistic as you. I have a feeling those in power and the mainstream media will shift focus on other issues to distract people from their degrading narratives. Canada for sure has handled it more tyrannically; at least in Ontario. They continue to lock people down when we have met their every moving goal posts numerous times already (well not me personally cause fuck them commie scum) but Canada consists of mostly branch covidians and a whole shitload of immigrants who will follow the politicians blindly because they look at them as the reason they were able to come to this shithole.

I think the precedents set are worrisome. They have basically expanded upon the Trump era online censorship. With the "fake news", "alternate facts" and "muh trolls" narratives now they can just fact check anything, they don't even need a political excuse to do so.

My main problem is that if you give them an opportunity to ban... "antiscience" and "fake news", then you can get any policy, product or opinion defended just by hiring some labcoat or jurno saying that the science/journalism is settled, product/policy/opinion is a true and honest fact. Boom, you can delete any dissenting opinion and person who doesn't believe or worse, questions it.

Let's face it, vaccines are products made to improve a bottom line and make shareholders happy. Now we have state, mainstream and social media colluding, basically shilling for products and doing free marketing for them from the taxpayers' money. In fact, forcing people to use those products. Not to mention sometimes silencing consumer feedback as well!
