Best of Corporate Pride Month Items - Gotta get me some of that demographic money, right boys?

Why did God flood the earth? Because of sodomy and rape and general sexual immorality and promiscuity.
Are you thinking of Sodom and Gomorrah? I think there may be some indication that the Flood was in large part due to fallen angels having children on Earth:

Genesis 6:4 (ESV)
"The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown."

I believe my Bible teacher had interpreted this section as Nephilim resulting from demons possessing humans and having offspring with them. The, "mighty men who were of old, the men of renown" could indicate some kind of spiritual powers, but it doesn't seem perfectly clear with just a quick search on the topic.

There are other verses that talk about reasons besides sexual immorality, but Jude 1:7 mentions sexual immorality as part of the reason Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed:

"just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire."

When July hits they'll ditch the rainbows just like that.
July is Straight Pride Month and I can’t think of a better month to have it in. It’s the month of the Fourth of July where we celebrate the liberty, guns, beer, and tits of America. Additionally, it’s even hotter than June, so that means more women in bikinis. It’s a great time for everyone.

Genesis 6:1-4 has a good claim to being the most hard-to-interpret passage in the whole Hebrew Bible, with verse 3 being especially difficult. Every commentator has their own take on it, but I personally lean towards Cassuto's view that it has no connection to the Flood narrative and is aimed at countering prevailing beliefs about spiritual beings by showing them as subordinate to the one God. Regarding Sodom, the reason it's associated with homosexuality is the demand of its residents to rape Lot's guests. However, it seems from the story and other references to the city in the Bible (most notably Ezekiel 16:49-50) that this is more of an extreme example of the depravity of the city in general and not so much the specific reason for its destruction.

If there's this much stuff being shat pushed out in the first day or two of June, it makes me wonder what the trajectory of the rest of the month will be. Are companies throwing out products and changing their pfps to rainbows at the start and then being lazy the rest of the month? Will it only ramp up? (especially if woke people get louder about things "not being enough still") Or will we just get a steady stream of this nonsense. Only time will tell.
I doubt this is going to ramp up over time. People don't have the attention span to rabidly care about something for a whole month, let alone a corporation. They'll put out all their standard "Happy pride" Tweets and pipe down for the rest of the month. Then by July 1st they'll swap the PFP back to their normal one by the end of the month. Pride is more obnoxious this year, but it's still gonna quietly fade away like every year.

You gotta feel bad for the graphic designers that were tasked with incorporating the new pride flag into the company logo. Before it was just a rainbow, hell even the trans colours could be implemented easily enough but the black and brown... just... don't... fit... at all. I'm not a fashion expert by any means but even I can see those colours just clash and look objectively ugly next to a colourful bright rainbow. That's probably the point, that we've been "brainwashed" into thinking black and brown are inherently ugly colours so we hate pee oh seas more and therefore we gotta force it in there until we like it.

Anyway it's just funny to see so many multi-billion dollar companies with such bad logos, but maybe it was a fun challenge for some of them in their otherwise dull job to see how much they could manage to unfuck the colour scheme.

I like Spencer's and recently started going to hot topic bit goddamn have both stores become ridiculously stocked with pride shit every June. O have to move like three rainbow mugs out the way to get to the elm street or It one I want on the back.... Same with t shirts and hats.

It's especially sad for hot topic. That store despite still being corprate run at least gave off the facade of being a rebellious place that didn't care about "fitting in" back in the late 90s/2000s now its just sad and pathetic.

House back then being a rebel and saying "screw you mom and dad. "WAS a phase that you grew out of or at least chilled out from. And involved dark clothes and angsty music. Not bring rainbows, cross dressing, and eventually pills and surgery to mutilate yourself into a freak show attraction

Chick-Fil-A says no to troons

Chick-Fil-A is a company who appears to give some shits about the well-being of children I guess. Makes them better than most already.

Glad I give them my business for whenever I get fast food these days. Their grilled chicken is actually really good, too.
