Abbott is calling a "special session" for it which I don't know exactly what that means but to me it looks like basically a way to force the bill to be voted on (and thus pass because if the Dems knew they could make it not pass through voting they wouldn't have thrown their hissyfit). Or it might force the bill to be re-evaluated (and thus neutered)? I don't know.

The Texas legislature meets for only a few months once every two years. Anything not passed in that time has to wait the two years to be addressed unless the governor calls a special legislative session on that specific topic. The special session will get this bill passed, what gets fucked is all the other bills that were scheduled after it to be voted on. The walkout means those probably won’t get dealt with for 2 years.

Dems did a similar walkout in response to districting issues in 2003 twice. It failed both times, as they were escorted back to Texas by police.

I would want to agree, but I also remember that people wanted for that and worse to happen to Oregon's Republicans when they walked out in protest of a Green Bill that would've destroyed the livelihoods of their constituents. I agree that it's ultimately pointless to keep digging into any election fraud at this point, but if the right wants any sort of future, it needs to adopt the left's tactics. And one of the most successful tactics the left has had is to keep pushing even if there's nothing to shove against, because you might just find one crack in the wall to get what you want.
