Phil hasn't changed a bit in years and even Phil isn't dumb enough to have a stream meltdown over a game he's told people he doesn't play.Question is: Will the Phil of today...
Kind of a 1a.) They introduce new systems to milk whales that are fairly accessible to F2P players, but quickly abandon them to pursue other wallet-warrior avenues.1) you need to add new systems to keep milking whales
It's pretty likely that he's addicted to more than one game. Champions is just the one we found. The game being shutdown will be a gift to him, the dudes addicted.
He definitely used to be--I found an account in Marvel: Future Fight that was also whaled out. He's also known to have played both Dokkan Battle and Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. Given that he was posting screenshots of "pulls" from Dokkan Battle, it's a safe bet he was spending there. It's pretty likely that he's addicted to more than one game. WWE Supercard never got shut down, as far as I'm aware it's still an ongoing game that you could pickup right now and play.Question is: Will the Phil of today just shrug off the game being shut down? He seems to have done it with Supercards, because he took that exact mistake and made an even bigger one, but that game didn't get fucked with. He didn't get kicked out of all the prestigious guilds and wind up losing his enjoyment of flexing on people because now everybody knows he's The Guy. It just ended, and he moved on to the game that HAS been ruined for him.
Now, when they pull the plug, it's after a couple of years of being sweet deranged Nigel's personal punching bag, as well as the butt of a lot of jokes that normally wouldn't have happened if his account hadn't been found. That may not be so easy for Phil to just move on from. Especially since here, he also doesn't have the luxury of ignorance being bliss. He knows we're close to the amount that he has spent, a figure I reckon he didn't WANT to know.

I'm done with this game. WWE Immortals is released and has a lot of bugs, but overall it's way more interesting than this game at this point. I may continue to periodically play but I'm done posting here. I only played this RtG because it came out of nowhere, I fully expected this to be another PCC which I was going to skip and focus on Immortals.
Let's not forget WWE immortals. Phil posted in early 2015 that he was jumping to that from Supercard:

Then probably came back or at least checked it out again because his last login on that site was about two and a half years later in August 2017. My guess is that he was either juggling multiple gacha games for a while or came back to Supercard after getting fed up with Dokkan/Marvel/FF/Immortals. Unfortunately Immortals was shut down in late 2018 and the forums appear to be gone too, so his antics in that game will have to be left to speculation.
Also this is too good not to share, his profile description was accidentally too ahnest:
EDIT: Just for my own curiosity could somebody explain to me how WWE Supercard works? Is it like Yu-Gi-Oh/Magic the Gathering where there's some skill involved, or is it the WWE equivalent to collecting baseball cards? I'm asking because from what we know of Phil, giving up on Supercard because it wasn't outright pay-to-win would totally be in character.
Not to mention he could even stream Hearthstone or Magic being shit at it and still get some money for it. Heck there are other games like Minion Masters or Runeverse where you get a lot of stuff for free and they are fun to play (imho of course) Though I would stay away from Hearthstone it has become P2W imho. It's not nearly as engrossing and fun as something like Magic or Hearthstone. It is a very simple minded game with barely any strategy involved and you can just pay to win. The standard game mode was 5 card decks and the only objective was playing your card and it having higher stats than your opponent. There was later another game mode added where it was basically the exact same thing but with a 30 card deck.
If his behavior is any indicator he doesn't want a challenge. He just wants prestige with the absolute minimal effort possible. Even his Street Fighter days were basically pay to win. Back then if you were willing to max out your credit cards to go to tournaments across the country that automatically put you in the top 1% of players. Not to mention he could even stream Hearthstone or Magic being shit at it and still get some money for it. Was? As in, at the time he was doing this, people were talking about the likely investment? Because if so, then Phil probably didn't actually scoff at the $40k figure after his Champions account was found. Just pissy at the fact that others know, and got it closer than he would ever want anyone to, including himself. He has had plenty of warning about his gacha spending being substantial.Phil routinely finished in the top 5 and it was estimated that would cost thousands of dollars.
This tells us a lot about why Champions appeals to him, for it's the same fucking deal, and I have to imagine his enjoyment has to be at an all-time low these days thanks to being forced to keep his big mouth shut about what meager flexing he can even do in such a low level guild as Sons of Smackdown.DSP is an egomaniac though and every single week he would pay money to get extra hearts and beat the whole thing within like an hour of it going live, just so he could be the first person to post the stats of the new card on the forums.
Gacha is clearly something that's supposed to stay a secret, because he can't be who he is in such games while being KNOWN as who he is. It's similar to his clout-chasing on Twitter, in that he can't do it without ignoring the fact that he's The Guy, and everybody has a mile-long list of ways to shut him down by mentioning things that are established fact. Not to mention he could even stream Hearthstone or Magic being shit at it and still get some money for it.
DSP's winning percentage in this game is something like 99.4%. When you get an OP as him, most matches become One Turn Kills. DSP would need the worst of the worst starting boards to lose a game.If his behavior is any indicator he doesn't want a challenge. He just wants prestige with the absolute minimal effort possible. You can tell by reading his forum posts for super card that it gives him some weird ego boost even though he's paying to win.

Question is: Has this compelled him to find another game to feel superior in? He might not have, he might actually be tired of the climb at this point, however low effort it is.

Phil can't stream games like that without drawing attention to what is meant to be an escape from being DSP.
This brings whole new perspective to the time where Phil claimed he could win the matches 100% of the time while playing Super Turbo, were it not for the supposed lag fucking things up. I think his gacha time may be causing those thoughts to leak into his streams.DSP's winning percentage in this game is something like 99.4%. The amount of games is crazy dating back to his YT "success". I pulled out all my old metal fillings and wearing a tinfoil hat so I'm under the impression he always whales on one and "casually" plays another one in case one of the games is discontinued. I cannot believe how much money was wasted with the BMW, Mancave items(most purchased blackout drunk), Mobile games, Food, and Gin in his earlier years. Saying that, I bet he was worse in CT. It's funny he knows, nearly everyone except derich knows he put so much money into the game. I say the derich thing after see his twitter posts. He definitely used to be--I found an account in Marvel: Future Fight that was also whaled out. He still probably lies about it, like the guy going to the casino ATM for the fifth time that night, who could stop any time he feels like it.He has had plenty of warning about his gacha spending being substantial.
