"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

I enjoyed the stream.

Speaking of the mail song, I had to look it up.

Wow, it used to be so much more wholesome. I much prefer that guest star!

The music gambit worked, no notices so far of it being blocked anywhere - usually shows as Partially Blocked when the record companies have claim over it. On that issue there are plenty of playlists of copyright-free music but a lot of those are videogame soundtracks.

Maybe there could be a fan contest where you get the fanzone to cover a bunch of music, which might shield from copyright issues? The K-Flay Kover Kontest.

Is the podcast system different to YouTube though? because a lot of the music from MATI streams doesn't get blocked on YouTube but Null said he received notices from the companies on the podcast platform. There's a lot of music you can use on videos on YouTube but get blocked from monetization but not blocked completely and once the video's not monetized it's okay to use the music but this might not be the case for the podcast platform.

You're absolutely right, I was basing it on how you can play certain songs on YouTube fine but they come up as partially blocked, like so -

This is where they will put ads on it and claim revenue, or block it in certain regions (Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Syria are the usual 4) but otherwise still let the video be viewed.

But it could be an entirely different system for the podcast network, you're right. Could be an issue on Odysee going forward too, from what I hear they are starting to cuck to DMCA and other takedown notices (by removing the ability to find the material on Odysee site, but still viewable on LBRY site as the video is still on the blockchain) which is incredibly disappointing to hear.

Are you the based archiver? I kneel.
Really sucks about the music anyway. I appreciated hearing new songs. Null should link to songs he would have used in the description on madattheinternet.com

he could just post the link at the beginning and end of the stream so we could all listen together!

Giving a shit about free will is like losing sleep over the fact that the random numbers your program generates are only pseudo-random and there is no actual way to generate true random numbers. From a human perspective that number might as well be truly random, and from a human perspective free will might as well be real, even if neither thing is actually true.

Is there a word for that argument? "We can't really know and we can't really do anything about it so we might as well just keep living our lives?" I feel like there should be. Like… anti-nihilism or something.

My approach to the question is more emotional; it makes me feel better to think that the bad things that have happened in my life are a result of someone else's, or my own, bad decisions and not things I was destined to suffer for since the Big Bang. Otherwise, what's the point of anyone learning from their experiences?

That's not what I'm saying. I think we can really know and we know there is only linear time. My point is that it just dosen't matter. If you choose to do the right thing you will improve your life, and from your own perspective it really is a choice. There's no reason for the universal causality to ever factor into the way you live your life.

It has been known for long, that humans only have a certain part of free will. We can't escape from the lizard brain, the part responsible for fight, flight, feeding, fear, freezing up, and sexual intercourse. But of course, there are varying in free will too. You got the NPC's that never seems to had a single independent thought in their life, people that reminds more of an animal than human.
