Most definitely the creepiest one.I want to say this is definitely my most favorite image spawned from the Tranch.
The Earthside Saga continued with discord leaks, sperging and more leaks and sperg promisedShots fired.
Dipshit troon loving commies discussing violence against women? Color me shocked.
Just so that I get this right, the last thread was calling out Earthside for sending free plates for clout, and this one is just about how dangerous it is to use them? The Earthside Saga continued with discord leaks, sperging and more leaks and sperg promised
The troon doing this is an SRA stalwar,t and is truly insane looking through their twitter feed; with no topic too inconsequential to force its opinion into and start reeeeeeeing
Anyway, fucking on Earthside Manufacturing
This thread is shitting on the manufacturing process and lack of testing

Seems like itJust so that I get this right, the last thread was calling out Earthside for sending free plates for clout, and this one is just about how dangerous it is to use them?
Last thread was also about them sending out dangerous plates - the clout accusation was made as a "yall care more about the clout than you do about the safety of people you're sending your garbage to".Just so that I get this right, the last thread was calling out Earthside for sending free plates for clout, and this one is just about how dangerous it is to use them?
tl;dr - Body armor sperging about how Earthside does everything wrong, againJust so that I get this right, the last thread was calling out Earthside for sending free plates for clout, and this one is just about how dangerous it is to use them?
The only possible reason I can think of for them doing this is the social media clout and praise, over spending literally tens of dollars more to be far less likely to get a chunk of spall through your lungs. Those sorts of injuries aren't "Rush them to urgent care", those are more "Give them some painkillers to make the dying easier". You really don't want to fuck around with bad body armor, it'll turn a survivable wound into a lethal one all on its own.Earthside's plates cost $120. All you have to do is wait for a sale to get prices in that range for quality plates. Hesco dealers have been having sales all Spring long that bring various Level III or Level IV plates into the $115-180 range for example. There is no reason to buy Earthside's shitty retard plates even if you're being cheap.

I think so. There is a lot of sperging and histrionics going on. The tweeter isn't satisfied with the testing and nobody should be. Earthside are clearly not gun people or armor people. They do no appear to be familiar with either the terminology or procedures for testing body armor. Earthside doesn't list actual rounds, ie M855, or bullet velocities in the product description. They do not mention distance they tested at in the description either. They don't even give the barrel lengths they were tested with in the description on the website. The discord pictures are barely better than Earthside's product description and the discord tester can't spell barrel properly. The tweeter feels the manufacturing it shoddy as one likely would of anyone making armor in their garage using non-industry standard techniques. I'll give everyone a guess as to how many companies manufacturing multi-material layered plates rivet them together.
People are doing tests and finding out that the plates aren't great. Surprise, surprise. Earthside is not testing with any coherent method or repeatability. It may even be the plates they tested were fine and then they got a shipment of shit steel from China that isn't in spec. HDPE + AR500 layered and bonded properly shouldn't have problems stopping common intermediate cartridges. Earthside aren't the first people to make backyard body armor. You can find plenty of videos on youtube of body armor tests. They will range from rednecks not knowing what they're doing to people replicating the major elements NIJ testing ie projectile type, distance, velocity, measuring backface deformation, etc.
The National Institute of Justice uses the NIJ Standard 0101.06 (current iteration) protocol for projectile body armor testing which certifies hard and soft armor to different levels based on the projectiles they can defeat under specified conditions. I believe the final 0101.07 revision is supposed to role out and be adopted this year. Labs must be certified by the NIJ in order to perform these tests and give out proper accreditation. The NIJ maintains an online list of product certifications. These NIJ protocols use a very limited number of projectiles and projectile types in their certifications for each level and it has historically been a widespread complaint about the NIJ standard. The NIJ introduced what they call the Special Threat certification where they will test products with projectiles specified by the company. I assume can drive up the testing cost rather quickly and companies are cheap. 0101.07 will expand the projectile types tested and change the threat level terminology.
Plenty of companies get their design tested to a specific NIJ level and then have them tested either internally or at non-certified labs for additional projectiles. I personally don't see this as a problem so long as they are a reputable company and they test to NIJ protocols. Many companies will post transparent videos of their testing. I would require video proof if I were interested in buying armor for a threat that I believed falls on the edge of the armor's ability to stop. There have been a number of debacles in the body armor world over the years where materials would not perform as advertised because they were being used outside of the specifications given by either the NIJ or the material's manufacturers. Most of the time companies were ignorant to how they were improperly advertising or designing their armor. A couple times there have been outright scammers who did not care.

This is the wrong forum to be alluding to what you do for work.Just buy your armor from a reputable manufacturer. I'd they were actually scared of some sort of plot to get them, with the grift money they have they could easily all buy FRAS or a full 3A+ setup WITH IV plates from most manufacturers.
I have three carriers for work, one concealed, one with full MOLLE and one with half MOLLE for when I'm doing mobile-based stuff, all fitted. I swap the plates between as necessary based on what I'm doing. The entire setup cost me less than $1800 after exchange and shipping.
The manufacturer makes clear statements about what it's supposed to stop and it's been NIJ tested and tested independently.
Treat free armor like a free condom in a ziplock bag. It might stop objects from getting inside of you, it might not. And the costs of the latter exceed monetary costs.

Worth noting the tranch didn't actually buy Earthside's shitty plates - Earthside sent them for free as a show of allyshipand free advertising.
