I like that he tried really hard to prove he got them now. And credit where credit is due, I think he actually understood two of them.

And he ends with talking about "threads" so you know he is reading this. He is also hoping to get noticed by senpai stonetoss. Interesting how he wants the attention of an "evil racist".

I wish his parents protected him better for his own good and am glad I never put any of my dumb shit online as a kid.

Okay, I'll listen for highlights.

0:10 - Apparently only "angry conservatives" dislike room temperature IQ takes.

0:25 - He mentions people pointed out he clearly didn't understand the jokes in the original video. He also takes umbrage with people telling him "you don't understand the points without the research," and responds saying "research is how you gain logic, you idiots" as if that makes a modicum of sense. He then proceeds to respond passive-aggressively claiming he'll take extra time to understand the jokes, because spewing out content is more important than actually knowing what you're talking about.

0:50 - He states he's too lazy to check if Stonetoss uploads comics daily, when simply looking at the next image will inform him given the timestamps on each of them. I'm being nitpicky, but it's fair game since he's being irreverent on purpose.

1:35 - I'll give him credit, he actually affirms that pedophiles repeatedly attempt to infiltrate the LGBT community with alarming frequency.

1:50 - He claims this comic suggests the LGBT community celebrates pedophiles. That's a fair assumption since the comic can be interpreted in a few ways. I usually see people fight against pedophiles trying to co-opt the movement. But you can still presume Stonetoss is referencing how common this sort of thing is in the community, which Zeri here confirms and elaborates on.

2:45 - He addresses how male pedophiles are majority homosexual, and he tries to dismiss this doesn't mean being homosexual makes you more likely to be a pedophile. This is true, and while people assert this, they're stupid. However, this doesn't have anything to do with the comic, so points deducted.

3:40 - After seeing this comic which almost precisely mirrors events which happened recently, he denies what is readily observable. So much for trying to understand the comics better.

4:20 - Somehow he reads this comic expressing how Israel has too much influence and power over American discourse, and walks away interpreting the comic as being pro-Israel. He then complains this comic which he understood perfectly just a minute ago doesn't make any sense now.

5:25 - Another hot take about this comic which is literally so simple to understand, there isn't even a line of dialogue. He believes Stonetoss is complaining people don't worry about religious armageddon predictions but do for climate change armageddon predictions, when it couldn't be clearer that the comic is pointing out the hypocrisy in doing so. I'm beginning to notice he isn't understanding the jokes any better than last time.

6:35 - The "harm to help ratio" is worse for Bitcoin than it is for social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter in terms of energy consumption and pollution. Given how gargantuan those companies are compared to the niche selection of turbo nerds mining bitcoin, I don't think that's true.

7:30 - In a comic where the only hint regarding a "community" in any capacity is a character saying "this community isn't inclusive enough," Zeri assumes the community has lynching, hate crimes, and people saying naughty, naughty words. Put simply, rather than reading this comic in the broad sense as it's clearly intended, he reads "community" and literally thinks "ah, Stonetoss must be talking about my community, specifically about me, and nothing else."

8:00 - "Nobody gets lynched for being [conservative]!" Technically true, since I don't think people get lynched nowadays in general.

8:45 - Without a hint of irony, he falls into the joke stereotype presented by the comic himself beat for beat with zero self-awareness. If Zeri was a high-effort troll rather than just genuinely dumb, I'd say that's one of the most genius jokes I've seen from these ruses. Unfortunately, he's being dead serious.

9:50 - He doesn't just misunderstand the point of this comic, it completely flies over his head and he winds up talking about something completely irrelevant. It's worth a listen because of how deep a hole he digs himself in with his poor comprehension.

11:40 - Once again acting like a Stonetoss caricature, he sees this comic stating that segregation still exists but is just presented as a positive and he responds happily, stating that's how it should be.

12:30 - "None of us actually go 'this is white supremacy' [in response to the OK hand gesture]." Sure, in what reality? Because it definitely isn't this one.

12:35 - "I'm sure [the OK hand gesture is] in actually rooted white supremacy." Couldn't even stop contradicting himself for more than five seconds on the dot.

12:50 - Speaking hypothetically, he states there are probably multiple words which were offensive a long time ago but aren't any longer, so we shouldn't be shamed or guilted for using them. I may be inclined to find his statement moving, if he wasn't a part of the same community that wants to ban words like "dumb" or "lame" because it was used to label people with disabilities a century ago.

13:05 - He scoffs at the idea of commercials presenting Satan positively affecting children, just before giving Satan a jovial nickname and explicitly stating at 12:15 he's a fan of Satan. Joke or not, that undermines his point entirely, and the only person contradicting himself is himself. Again.

13:25 - "Discord is a mainly conservative platform." What. What.

13:25 - Anyway, there's hypocrisy in this still, since if Stonetoss points out the prevalence in pedophiles in the LGBT community, that's an unfair representation of the community, but if Stonetoss points out the prevalence of pedophiles in Discord, then that's perfectly accurate.

13:45 - He doesn't understand the comic so he just starts preaching about his personal life while talking down to his listeners. How fun.

14:10 - The pain is over.

14:15 - Wait, no. I called it too early. He's still going. Now he says the hilarious comments he loved receiving earlier are negatively impacting his mental health. I guess it's important he also contradict himself for things unrelated to his mangled interpretations of Stonetoss's comics, as well.

14:30 - To top it all off, he complains he doesn't like being talked about in "threads." How horrible. But I'm sure he doesn't read any of them, though. Especially not this one.

Bitcoin mining is a lot more intensive than online services.

But most bitcoin mining is done with surplus power at water dams nowadays, which wouldn't have been usable otherwise. You can't do that with services that you want to have 99.99% uptime.

There's so many more energy intensive things going on that it's a little frustrating to see the hit pieces roll out and NPCs fall for them.

As if the miners aren't paying for the electricity, or are doing it at a loss, or it's literally stealing power from other more "useful" activities.

This "environmentalist" concern trolling against Bitcoin generally comes from the same people who already furiously hated Bitcoin before they found this new excuse.
I think the core reasons why these people hate Bitcoin, are:

1) They're not in on it. They either ignored it, or even mocked the "dumb nerds" who got in early, and now resent that it became successful without them.

2) It puts a limit on Cancel Culture. They can block an "unperson" from getting a bank account or credit card, but they can't block them from the blockchain (pun unintended).

And don't forget what Assange said about blockchain: it maintains an unalterable history. It's not just finamcially that it puts a limit on cancel culture. It also fucks with the capacity to rewrite/censor history.

The Stonewall was quite literally run by the Mob, specifically the Genovese family.

While this might seem odd, as the Mafia is no fan of the gays, they used it to get dirt on wealthy and influential homosexual pedophiles among their clientele for blackmail material. They usually were able to pay off the cops to look the other way, either with money or with the very same incriminating information.

This is partly but not entirely true. The immense carbon footprint of cryptocurrency mining has been an increasing concern in the community, too. There is a lot of work being put into using proof-of-stake rather than proof-of-work as it has a substantially lower carbon footprint and, in general, wastes less electricity.

It's actually really weird that'd they would try to deny the Gay Wedding Cake thing, when it was an international news story, that happened repeatedly. But they decided to still go with "I'm going to beat you in the face with a brick without provocation because I don't like you." as some kind of point in their favor...

I don't think it honestly even occurs to them someone could see that strip and still sympathise with the passive "it's all so tiresome guy".
