General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Whats your bet? Was this Cover or Coco's decision?
I just dont believe this was Cover's shot, axing an entire branch and losing so many permissions, just to let her go like that? It cant be.
I'm thinking the fact that the spam was overflowing to anyone she associated with finally got to her. That or maybe someone made a comment about it bothering them behind the scenes. Either way I'd bet this was Coco's decision.

Couple things...
- Her channel was finally winning against the chinks, but on the other hand they could have been wearing her down over months, or the fact that they've been affecting other channels recently. I don't want to speculate until we hear more.
- Likely entirely her decision, not Cover forcing her hand. If Cover has acted inappropriately in any way, Fubuki will have something to say about it.
- Hopefully she can explain a little more on her Kson channel after all is said and done.
- Coco's done so much for Hololive, more than almost anyone. Whatever happens, I wish her the best, and I hope she gets to be happy watching it grow.

From T-chan: We know this news is very difficult to process. Please channel all your energies to supporting Coco. No negativity. Please.
This makes it sound like it was entirely Coco's decision and that Cover actually tried to convince her to stay. "We as a company are saddened by her decision to leave, but after much deliberation between both parties, we have decided to honor her wishes." mostly

There’s a deadline for fan mail and memberships. Never thought I would, but I might send something. After Miko’s nigga, Coco was what solidified me into the rabbit hole

She’s had it since before Hololive
Huh. I was only aware of her Mildom one. I thought the Youtube channel was new.

I'm thinking the fact that the spam was overflowing to anyone she associated with finally got to her. That or maybe someone made a comment about it bothering them behind the scenes. Either way I'd bet this was Coco's decision.
That's actually quite plausible - especially with the whole "saving face" aspect of Japanese culture. Maybe it was a fellow talent or an irate manager making a snide comment, but it's not improbable. I hate to be this 'rraty' but this is just one of those situations where rrats will abound no matter what so might as well toss mine out along with the horde.

I hope she stays on in a managerial position at least, but that may be a tad too optimistic. May also lead some credence that she's one of the EN managers all along - what with Cover initiating a search for a replacement manager just a few weeks back.

Reddit and /vt/ are already on fire (okay, /vt/ is more on fire than usual) and Vtuber twitter is fucking despondent. This is going to be a long and miserable month for the entire community as rrats abound, blame is slung, and sperging fucktouples into a goddamned maelstrom. I for one am getting drunk. Fuck this shit man.

Hopefully she can explain a little more on her Kson channel after all is said and done.
That'll only happen if she never wants to work in any major Japanese companies ever again. In their business culture, talking candidly about something like this if it would look bad on Cover will make her a toxic commodity. They'll both shut their mouths.
