Something that puzzled me the other day. Children can't consent. We all know it's important people learn about consent at some stage growing up.

I seem to constantly be seeing a real big focus on teaching kids about consent in recent years. Is some element of this not just teaching kids about consent but creeps wanting to teach kids to consent? Especially when it's in the context of teaching age-inappropriate sexual material to those kids.

This is true but I have considered adopting a position of pretending they do as a divide and conquer strategy. Because it strikes me that surely the HSTS who pass better and who have reason to believe themselves the superior sort of troon compared to the revolting AGPs of all varieties would actually be motivated to think of themselves differently. It’s kind of like how Cubans and Fancy Asians have always been lured in by the promise of honorary whiteness.

Don't know if this belongs here since it occurred irl, but I had an in-the-wild encounter last night when I was out for dinner.

Our actually-female server took our drinks and appetiser order and we got to chatting, until a 7ft behemoth arrived at the table with our stuff. If it wasn't immediately obvious what was going on, the voice sealed the deal as always; it sounded like he was holding his nose to talk and affecting what he thought was a female speech pattern.

The interesting part, and reason I felt this story was worth telling is that everyone else at the table was a good bit older than me and doesn't really know about the troon menace, but every single one of them immediately clocked that something was off the second he turned up.

Anyway, point is it was extremely awkward and I felt uncomfortable every time he came to the table, but it was pretty funny watching him mill around all the female waitresses who were literally half his size.

that's how it usually is in my experience
starts right at home, usually it's the father who takes issue with his daughter dressing like a hooker to go out, not the mother. in some cases he puts his foot down and enforces a more modest dress code, in other cases the mother starts bitching at him about being controlling and policing womens choices and he cucks out. either way, the initial positions (dad is protective and wants daughter covered up, mom is supportive and encouraging of sluttiness) are somewhat common, while the opposite arrangement (father encouraging daughter to slut it up) is almost unheard of

I don’t know that this is common on an individual basis, like actual examples of this happening in families, but...I think it captures the *spirit* of the age, more than the specific reality. And it feels like a forced spirit. Not a natural cultural evolution.

Certainly the cultural zeitgeist became one that even when I was a kid in the late 80s, early 90s, it seemed like the very idea of a father feeling protective in a fatherly way, the way we expected fathers to feel for millennia, was demonized. Purity rings are creepy, ok. But a father eyeballing his daughter’s date and speaking firmly about the time he’s to have her home is wholesome, and I’m tired of pretending that it’s not (actually I got tired of it long ago lol).

Yo, I totally agree with the mindset, but small point of fact: if you have kids, teach them the proper names for their body parts early. A groomer can’t make it sound silly like a game or mislead them about what’s happening, and if something should ever happen accident-wise, they need to be able to articulate.
