When I supported people with developmental disabilities, I had a client who weighed 400 lbs. We actually had a procedure in place for if we showed up at his house one morning and found him dead. I always wondered what I would do if he had a heart attack while sitting on his couch or lying down, there is no way I could have moved him. He had custody of himself, or the first thing I would have done is yelled loudly to put him on a restricted diet. As it stood, there was nothing we could do. He would become violent if he was told he needed to lose weight. I avoided becoming attached, because he had a whole host of health problems and it was only a matter of time before something broke in him. I wonder if Striker's parents have consigned themselves to outliving their son.

Fun trivia: cremating someone this morbidly obese is fairly risky since there is a chance all of the fat will burn out of control and start a grease fire. Several crematoriums have caught on fire because of this. This of course assumes you can find one with an incinerator large enough to fit him in.

I was suspicious of this claim so I did a little Googling.

And I found this.

Well, he has sleep apnea, and serious breathing issues, so he might actually be taking Prednisone.
It would explain his weight too, actually.

That would mean he would be on it for something very serious, though. You can't be on prednisone long. (In fact, even if your not on it long, it can give you serious effects..)So he got it proscribed probably pretty recent..

Christ he's on prednisone? My mother had to take that when she had pneumonia (pneumonia + asthma = very bad), and it did a number on her that took her awhile to recover from. I can't imagine what it would do to someone the size of a whale.

I`m almost POSITIVE it's prednisone. I used to take it so much because of my UC. It's the only drug I am aware of that grants you effects on command. It's not an if with prednisone. It's a when.

If he's on prednisone, it must be because of high inflammation that can't be controlled through other means. Probably lungs. I'm guessing so because prednisone is the strongest steroids available. If you can't heal from it, your screwed.

Good news, now we're also computer terrorists!

Prednisone also makes you very, very irritable. When I was on it for my asthma, I turned into an utter bastard. That might help explain his outbursts.
Half of his conditions and his actions can actually be considered prednisone territory, I believe. His weight and attitude? Prednisone. Or at least, the weight he can't take off is definitely prednisone, considering moon face is involved.

It might also explain tendencies. It's not common, but breaks from reality can be caused via prednisone, I believe. Only for those that have it in their lineage though.

That still doesn't explain why he shits himself, though.
Lots of drugs do that, though. Plus, what he eats can contribute.

I had UC medication literally state: Side effects can be uncontrollable diarrhea. (How would that be any different from...the disease itself?)

Ironic, yes, but still stands.

Though, he could still be lazy as fuck.

Would Prednisone also explain his racism? It's quite interesting hearing how many of his issues we're observing that might actually be caused by that medication.

That's actually how my uncle died.. His son came back and found him three days later..

Most people when they nearly die try and improve themselves, this idiot, Striker, bitches and whines. If he keeps this up, I'd declare him a lost cause and just abandon him. It would be a load off his parents shoulders.. (No pun intended)

Ah. Definitely sounds like a special drug. I guess it was the only option left, considering how serious his breathing problems are.
Well, it might not be the only legit option. He's too fat for the thing he was supposed to get for his lungs. The best way, so far, would be steroids to limit the inflammation. Hence, why he's on a diet. They know the effects are dire, like heart issues and the like. They just need to get him at the best weight for the surgery and help his lungs.

Best possible action, at this point. When I took it, there were other options, I suppose, but they all end in surgery. So it might not have been THE best option, but its an option that he has readily available at this moment when the real one can't be had.
