Literally nothing is done right, ever, and no one cares to learn. Not a one!! That’s like the exact opposite of human nature, I just fundamentally can’t understand not being at least CURIOUS how to build stairs or a fence, shit that’s been sussed out by Homo sapiens for unknown thousands of years. Grilling fucking meat!! They can’t do it!! Lazy, yes, incompetent, without a doubt, but more than anything it’s the lack of curiosity that gets me. (I wonder how bad are they fucking up their taxes? IRS might take down TUR before they get another chance to accidentally burn the place down.)

They are 90 percenters, their invested effort create the illusory impression that something is complete and explained away to those with a critical eye.

No need to complete the last 10%, the hardest part of the process which ultimately ties all the small, menial tasks together and solidifies the totality of the project.

Why do that when they can "pass" their work off as completed and dismiss those who openly contest as not being good enough?

Just like their attempts at being a woman, 90 percenters.

It permeates every facet of their behavior and it is utterly disgusting.

I fucking hate Troons...I fucking really do...

I like all their photos showing their surface of Mars vs the desert green of their neighbours properties.
It's incredible and a little distressing that they seem totally oblivious to the ecocide they're committing on that property. I don't think I've ever seen them talk about improving pasture, just buying feed for the animals. I'd love an ecology understander familiar with the region to do an analysis of how their overstocking and garbage land management has led to the barren wastes we see in pics.

Not a fence builder, but I can tell you all it'll take is an alpaca deciding a post is a permissible backscratcher and that'll take out a section of that fence.

Larger livestock like cows do the post or even wire rub quite often, especially when they learn it can function that way.
Hopefully the Alpacas can escape their shitholes and find better pastures in the wild :optimistic:

I have no idea how they fucked it up that badly. Supposedly alpacas are actually good about not ripping up grass by the roots, but they've utterly destroyed it. There are definitely way too many of them, though. At the very least, they've overgrazed everything to death. Sheep also don't generally rip up grass.

Whatever they've done to get that lunar landscape, if it isn't just overgrazing, is probably so absolutely fucking dumb you wouldn't even think of someone actually doing it.

These latest photos highlight just how bad it is. We could see the bare earth vs ground cover from space and had distance shots of greenery beyond the fences. Now the biodiversity of the different grasses and low scrub brush close up and juxtaposed to the stripped earth. The light arid grassland is quite pretty and I am much more partial to forests and rivers than arid environments.

I knew it, it's wonky. 🤣

There is this homesteader(?) I follow on YT and they recently (last year, but uploaded recently) installed a fence and a gate. Obviously different ground, but the principles are the same I think.

fence as done by two people:

gate:

Look at the size of the posts for just the one gate.

Bonus of her talking about choosing land to buy, taking things into account like how much property tax she would pay as she got older. (She dismissed Colorado, because it's not free enough for her taste, around 6:40.)

Yup, you can see in the photos the old gateposts which are similar
The ones they've replaced it with aren't suitable, they'll last a short time but not any length
All this makes me half wonder if they're running an exit scam but they're too dumb to plan anything so sophisticated
They just really are shit at what they do

Look at that useless shit up at the top well beyond where alpacas could get to it. Humans aren't going to try to ninja in over the top, they can just cut a hole with a pair of tin snips. Or pretty much anything, probably preschool safety scissors would do.

Looking forward to the alpaca Escape from Troon York saga.
How deep do you figure they buried those posts? Two feet? One? Imagine the sweating and swearing they got up to doing just that much by hand. Isn't it a shame they've done literally everything possible to alienate themselves from the community so no one would drop by to let them use their nice post hole digger attachment that would make each hole the work of mere minutes. Y'know, the way every other functional farmer and rancher in the country does it. But you can't let Earl and his army of chud ninjas think you've gone soft, that's when they getcha!

Too many animals on not enough land. This causes 2 issues. In the search for food they are eating the grass farther down then they normally do. And what is left is trampled underfoot.

They live in the high desert. Use fucking stone cribs/gabions for corner posts/gate posts. Then you can stretch the fencing properly so it won't sag like tube troon titties.

Add u posts and a post driver and they could have saved a fuckton of money by not buying wooden posts that are going to rot out or fall over in the first wind storm.

Also according to some graphs that coomer kev posted they're in a drought right now so that only makes their situation worse.

Or it could just be Permaculturist J's finest work

I just caught up on the thread. My fucking sides. The photo of the meth shower and Jarrod pressing his Gomer Pyle looking face up to the kitchen window are two of the funniest things I've ever seen on this website.
Jarrod somehow looks fatter now than he did pre-tranch, which is crazy cause he now does long days of hard labor. I guess gallons of queso are an indigenous foodway of wisdom for our favorite permaculturist.

He's just cultivating mass. You won't be laughing after his cut cycle.
