These livestreams are a great example of the law of diminishing returns. Let's do some simple math using this past week's total content (starting Friday, June 11):
- Total number of livestreams = 22 (does not include any she yanked).
- Average # of views = 13,200 per stream (as of the time of this post).
- Minimum needed to qualify for "good" engagement- 33.1% (views to subscribers) or 28,830 views per video.
She's no where near that.
And I get it, she's making enough to cover her rent and subsidize her chemical romance. The path of least resistance is working marvelously for now, especially with all the simps who are paying for her content.
I'm just waiting for the full revolt and the exodus of paying customers who are getting shit for their money.
The free chat was in open revolt yesterday (and Marisa was silent, heheh). The Member's chat was more supportive, but there were voices of dissent.
The complaints are wide ranging, from her not offering any value for the money, to the state of her health, to drugz, to cleanliness...
However, from what I could tell, the biggest complaint was about lying. This was also the main complaint last time. The ninnies can mostly forgive the booger eating, the pants shitting, the constant eating, the bitchy attitude, and even the dope.
But the one thing that really seems to be bothering them is the constant lying about Nader. They seem to feel like they were dragged into the Nader saga, and are annoyed that after being dragged into it, they are being gaslit and left in the dark.
It warms my heart to see this, because honestly, I didn't think they had it in them.
Clotso (and Amberlynn and a lot of brainded "my channel is about
me" dumdums) doesn't understand a fundamental fact: people tune in for reality. They want to see real people doing real things, even if the real thing is lying in bed picking your nose. It's real.
Chantal has lied about plenty from the start, including needless lies about minor, irrelevant things. However, to a certain degree, she has at least been "real". Real fucking psycho, some may say, but real nonetheless. Part of the reason why people subscribe and even hand her money is because they are enjoying this real story, in all its tawdry glory.
When she gaslights them enough, it dawns on them that they aren't getting real Foodie Beauty anymore. It is a bait-and-switch, in which they were lured in not only by the appearance of reality, but Clotso's own assurances that Members would be privy to real stuff, like "behind the scenes" (whatever she thinks
that means). They may be the most dimwitted audience ever assembled for a spectacle, but even dimwits don't like being swindled and lied to.
I don't think she realizes what a serious problem this could be. The one thing that ires the audience most is the one thing she is really cranking up: lying, and bad lying at that. It really is enough to make longterm believers unsubscribe, or at least yeet their $5 a month stipends.
Chantal's per-livestream viewership has been declining for weeks. Her numbers seem high because there are multiple livestreams per day, but she used to get the same number of total eyes on her with one 30-minute upload as she gets from 8 hours of multiple livestreams now. (So, in typical dumbass fashion, she has now made it so she must put in
16 times as much camera time to get the same number of viewers she used to get). Even when the livestreams get the same number of views as one mukbang upload used to get, she's still lost about 2/3 of her audience, because it is mainly the same viewers tuning into each livestream. So while a 45,000 viewer upload last year might seem to match 45,000 views spread across three livestreams, it's really a lot worse now. Instead of 45,000 individuals, she now has about 15,000 individuals tuning in three times a day. That is much less reach than she once had.
Livestreams have a very poor rate of replays; as soon as they end, they are yesterday's news. Certain of her video uploads of years ago got hundreds of thousands of views, due to both enduring attraction to new viewers and replayabilty. She loses that with livestreams.
She hasn't yet felt this because she has managed to come up with other sources of money, like the Only Fans scam that netted her something like a thousand bucks, her membership drive, which is getting her another two to three thousand a month, and superchats (which have been in decline, although they still probably bring her a thousand or two a month). So, she hasn't yet felt the effects of the self-destruction of her channel yet.
But those Members are really the only thing propping her up right now, even if she is too dumb to know it. If they decide they are sick of lies and yank their support, she is fucked. Right now the majority seem to be sticking with her, but there are cracks and fissures appearing, and she is exacerbating them right now with her recent livestreams. These Members want to know the reality of the Nader saga, and instead they are getting nosepicking and gaslighting. The more they get that, the less they will want to pay for it, and they are
literally telling her that in chat. And the more uptight ones (who were feeling iffy about the sex and drugs sagas anyway and are peeved at her lying about
those) have already yeeted their Memberships.
I love it because our fat friend seems oblivious to how her audience feels ('natch! she's a sociopath) and really seems to be consistently saying the wrong things in the wrong tone, chafing them even more. She is on the verge of chimping out at her paying members, and I, for one, can't wait. She had a solid cottage industry that she could have turned into six figures a year, and she has turned it into a shaky house of cards that barely covers the rent and her gummies. I notice she has been cooking more; she usually only resorts to that in times of financial stress. And now she is peeved at the last source of income she has. Dumb people sure make great lolcows.
