funny thing is, Max released 2 videos praising GGS catering to casuals.
So once again Phil is a idiot.
All the pros are in heaven (top floor) where they can try hard all they want, most casuals are in floors 5 and below having fun being casuals.
I grinded my way up to floor 4 from floor 1 and im comfortable in that spot.
The thing that most people dont see in streams, are floors below 6, 6 is where you really start seeing some wild shit.
Phil is just to scared to realize he sucks, because when the game does its initial placement of which floor you should start at, the fight isnt easy, the ai opponent they throw at you will run your shit. He's stuck, if he gets curb stomp he'll start at the bottom and eventually work himself up a few floors before the competition starts wrecking him. if he doesnt place at floor 6 or above at the start, it'll show he isnt the greatest fighting game player around. which will dent his ego, if he does place in floor 6 or above, hes gonna instantly get his shit kicked in by the pros.
Basically if your casual, floors 5 and below is where you will be most comfortable, if your at floor 6, it shows you want to go further. and its a perfect to give the pros their cake and be able to eat it to, and it prevents casuals from running into smurfs. Once you advance a floor, you cant return to the previous floor. unless you just do so bad you get demoted, and the game is quick to kick you back to the floor you should be at after a couple of matches. ive been demoted to floor 3 twice, and it only happened after a massive lose streak. and working back to 4 wasnt a hassle.
