Seeing as you say you've been watching them for years, you have my attention! Anything big the thread has missed so far? Is it basically an open secret among other furries into the whole "hypno-fetish" thing that the Korps are a big red flag and to avoid them? Then they get just the horniest, most degenerate ones who ignore every red flag recruited into their cult? Would you say all or most of these cults have the trans aspect, or is that one just a Korps specialty?
A lot of people who get involved see Korps as relatively harmless RP or bdsm kink. The idea of serving an evil mistress makes a lot of people very horny. They really don't see it as that bad, mostly because it's very open. Not many have the aspect of transgender stuff. There's a lot of feminization involved in the community in general so a community dedicated to it isn't super out of the ordinary. I have a feeling a lot of people involved in Korps don't realize how bad sections of it and people involved in it (as documented in this thread) are.
Not censoring this name because it's hilarious.
The real villain in the community is CORE and all offshoots. I could do a fucking dump and a half on CORE. Here's someone who's part of Korps & Hex Corp who got involved in a CORE spinoff (Wintermute Collective) talking about how bad it was. I repeat, this person actively
reps Korps and Hex Corp and is a recruiter for Korps.
Here's some other fun stuff on CORE. And these places are all kinda okay with Korps which puts CORE into perspective. I don't want to completely derail this thread but it really puts the hypno community's view of Korps into perspective
And here's some of CORE's propaganda that the creator wanted their drones to spread at IRL conventions.
I don't want to completely derail this thread with info on CORE, but it's a frame of reference. Most people don't think Korps is much more than harmless LARPing or "maybe slightly dangerous but not that bad". CORE is a whole different level of genuinely reached full on cult status.
As funny as this is, I will note that right now it's merely a rumor that they used to be right wing, though it doesn't help that their name is literally "the Korps" which definitely makes them sound like edgelord fascist larpers. Regardless of if it's true or not, I'm still never not going to use this to make fun of them.
Here's some additional evidence of them being right wing early on. Straight from a furry hypno telegram
Hex Corp I remember watching from its infancy - it's more into the Dronification zone rather than hypnotism, and it's a bit dead at the moment due to a lack of interest in, essentially, discarding over thousands of dollars in art in exchange for a number and the popularity faded once they were completely forgotten rather than missed.
I actually did some digging after first noticing this thread to see if there was any relation apart from the goggles, but it seems to be coincidence/a minor ripoff.
Hex Corp isn't dead, but they've somewhat gone off the radar for a bit. They're still pretty active but they make enough money off of their drones that they're fine with just being visible on Twitter. Keeping good PR is super important to them and when CORE broke down they dropped off the radar
