SCP Foundation - Creepypasta with roid rage - now ITT: SCP fans

Really the problem is they would’ve made the connection if Joseph Goebbels hadn’t put the sum of human knowledge on trans folks to the torch but that’s getting off topic.

To stay on-topic... it looks like the grand transparency reform will boil down to “we’re going to shit-talk you all here now and the list of people already beholden to us will have limited access to the place where we used to shit-talk you.”
This also does not appear to include the Admin-Captain discord chat or the Chatstaff IRC channel.

Ah yes because trans people were invented in 2009.
It's more like they weren't terribly well known, since there were so few of them. I'm much more inclined to take trans people seriously who were that when there wasn't some ridiculous social cachet to being in this specific group. I had known a couple people like this before the troonstorm social media launched, who transitioned even despite incredible social hostility towards the very idea, gatekeeping by the medical establishment (which we should still have), and other costs related to these things.

They were otherwise normal (if depressed) people and after their transition, remained and acted exactly the way they did before, other than presenting as a different gender. If you'd asked me in 2010 what I thought about trans people, these would be the people I'd think of, and I'd have given them a high approval rating.

Now, these are the sort of people that troons call "transmedicalists" if they're not disgusting scumbags, and "truscum" if they are subhuman garbage from tumblr. Tbh my loathing of troons is largely because of their utterly reprehensible treatment of people suffering legitimate gender dysphoria.

Oh boy, I get to be insulted in the open instead of in-secret.

Staff are remarketing their on-site, sanctioned news reports. Their very own fake media, now part of the Pravda conglomerate and self-preservation tactic known as Community Outreach. Here’s Dexanote shilling it in his dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge of Rounderhouse’s PR critique.

Notice the editorial tab in the archvied and the political incontinence that pours from it, meant to pet the snarling user base into ease.

Trans people have existed since before the Internet, but I highly doubt that a group of guys from 4chan in 2008 would have known about them. Transgenderism didn't enter the collective digital consciousness until the 2010s.

Kaktus continues to be surprisingly eloquent and correct.

There were transgender users in the first generation of site users, at least one in the form of Lurker who, as Gears told me, openly (and jokingly) described herself as a “trap”. It was a different time.

Kaktus may be "right", and I don't disagree with him, but his even his ulterior motives have ulterior motives. He's an egomaniac and a schemer, and I'm not going to give him extra credit because he's pointing put the obvious.

In my opinion, he's trying to place himself in the center of this conflict for attention. Kaktus claiming his feelings are hurt for people talking behind his back is hypocritical and laughable. His words would undoubtedly mean much more to staff if he wasn't so controversial. I think he's just the opposite side of the coin.

These discussions would be more productive if staff just bite the bullet and redo their internal structures, instead of slapping bandaids on every problem that crops up.

I won't be surprised if Kaktus ends up having some kind of ulterior motive for the fuss he's making, but I'm pleased to see someone openly and harshly criticize staff on the wiki itself either way. If it has to be Kaktus, then so be it. Speaking of Kaktus:

For those who don't remember, 4911 was the 9/11 article. Here's an archive courtesy of the Wayback Machine for those interested in reading it, and here's an archive of the first page of discussion. It was controversial at the time, and Scantron got permanently banned for a second time for the comment they left on it. Kaktus almost never self-deletes anything that makes it past a certain upvote threshold, so he must really be tired of hearing about it.

He also deleted the original SCP-2678, most likely due to it being a collab with @kiwi-identified cow.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that was deleted because one of the images features a heavily-modified picture of Kaktus's bare ass. Looking at the images, I'm pretty sure it's in the hole in the first one. I crave death.

The real question now is why he left it up so long, and who in the hell were the 210 nihilists who had the score run up so high? Also, notable that he didn’t do it because it was the right thing to do, but because he was tired of being browbeaten.
