I strongly feel that Chantal and Peetz are not leaving the Luxury Villa™ of their own volition. I'll concede that it doesn't appear that they're being evicted per se. I believe the most likely scenario is that the landlord/property manager gave Peetz/Chantal a 60 Day Notice to terminate their rental agreement. They need to have an acceptable reason according to the LTBoard and get a letter from the board to even start the process of ending the tenancy. You can't no fault notice to vacate or evict. Yes even at the end of fixed lease term. It automatically goes month to month and stays that way until the Tenant decides to end it or they fuck up and create one of the legally acceptable reasons to end the tenancy for Cause(I linked the causes a few posts ago). Termleases are not the major crux of tenant rights in Ontario like they are in most of North America(minus west coast US which is similar). A Tenant can give 60 days notice on a month to month just because they want to leave but a Landlord can't just because they want to have someone out. I suspect their filth and war on the plumbing means the Landlord has a fair chance to get a board letter agreeing they have legal Cause but now, even with the letter, they have to start what is a long process with a gazillion forms and mediation.

My initial thought was after the lease was up the landlord did a standard rent increase. This is pretty common with apartments in the states, at least where I'm from. I think it's all on Chantal and has nothing to do with the landlord at all at this point. What was once a luxury villa has turned into a gross stained pit of her own design. The once nice carpets are covered in crusty Twisty Misty stains, the once clean kitchen is now covered in clutter and poo poos, box mountain continues to grow in power and that $400 price tag to get rid of it seems pretty steep right now. Aside from the odd placement of the bathroom it started out as a pretty nice place but now it's a dump and god damn it Chantal deserves better! Better with less stairs and less Peetz.
I think it's more likely that, rather than the landlord thinking the place is too dirty, especially considering proof provided ITT, it's Chantal who thinks the apartment is too dirty.
Why do all the work to un-fuck that apartment when she can just move out of it into a clean apartment and make her mess someone else's problem? Plus then she can get a place with no stairs.
As others have said, it's very hard and time consuming to evict a problem tenant in Ontario. But police visits help. My building had a problem tenant that was eventually evicted, but it came after the neighbours closest to her carefully documented her late night noise and rule-breaking balcony antics. They called the police on her more than once due to fighting, or at least what sounded like fighting. It took several months of this effort with some of these neighbour Karens being very vigilant, and this wrapped up before the pandemic, which has created a backlog of cases that were put on hold.
I'm late to bring this up, but I suspect the police welfare check was called in by a neighbour, or possibly the landlord, using the alleged emails they received as an excuse. Now it's on the public record that Chantal was beezing away when the police arrived, even if it wasn't illegal and nothing came of it.
I don't believe her that the landlord said the emails were bullying. I think the landlord wants her out, just because getting those emails would be fucking annoying. But the landlord doesn't have nearly enough to get an eviction going. Chantal is annoying but I actually don't think she makes the kind of noise that would actually warrant a real complaint or police visit. You'd need a raucous party for that, and she's not having any of those. Or actual bloody murder screaming fights, but Pee is too much of a pushover. The girl that was evicted from my building wasn't just a loud, gross stoner, she broke pretty much every rule in the lease, including throwing bags of garbage off her balcony, etc. I don't think Chantal is anywhere near there. Yet.
So I think it's possible the landlord is trying to start a possible paper trail for a long eviction process after getting annoying emails and neighbor complaints, and dealing with the plumbing. I think also that Chantal is intimidated by just the small level of interactions with management and the police that she wants out. Add that to her usual delusions of movin' on up, and living with Peetz being a temporary stop on her way to a glamorous single gal life.

I usually just lurk this thread because I never have much to add, but there is one thing I've been wanting to say for a bit:
I think a lot of people are giving Chantal way, WAY too much credit in regards to her lies. Yes, we all know Chantal lies, but she's also a textbook example of a very shitty liar. Chantal can be denser than bricks. She lacks any real creativity or charm, has no foresight or hindsight, and she is way too impulsive to ever be able to stick to one storyline for long. Look at what happened with King Tut, for example. When he was first introduced as the love interest in this season of The Chantal Show, there were at least half a dozen different theories about how he doesn't actually exist and how she's 100% lying. All theories that we know now to not be true (unfortunate, because I kinda liked the theory of Ejupt just being a sex doll).
Chantal is not some incredible puppeteering mastermind that's always five steps ahead of everyone else. She lies about things to either make her look like a cool party gorl to her audience, or she lies about things to make herself fit whatever her emotionally-stunted brain interprets as "cool", because being anything less makes her uncomfortable and insecure. She's just like all the other shitty liars. They all do this and they never get better at it because they never learn. All theses theories are far more interesting than anything that Chantal can come up with, let alone commit to playing out. I don't blame anyone for wanting her to be faking it that hard though, because without those theories she's even more boring.
Regarding the shot, Chantal does not care enough about Corona-chan or the vaccine (or her health tbh) to be willing to wake up early, get dressed, drive around to find some public bathroom clean enough to look like it's in a doctor's office, all just to take a single selfie and then leave. You really believe that she would be willing to get out of bed and risk being seen by other people - or even worse, children - just to take one selfie to "own the haydurs"? The same woman who is too lazy to even put on underwear most of the time? Feels like a bit of a reach and again, giving her far too much credit. If she was going to lie, she would do what she has before when lying about past appointments and either just said she went in and got it, or made up some story about how they were just too busy so she rescheduled.
Plus it's easy to come up with a reason why she may have fucked up what type of vaccine she got. As some have pointed out, it's more than possible she did get the Pfizer. It's also equally possible she misread the paper as Brooky suggested, or even just tuned out the doctor or nurse giving it to her and only caught them saying "Pfizer" in some context. May even be as simple as a case of an overworked doctor/nurse accidentally saying "Pfizer" when they meant "Moderna". Could be anything. But I really doubt she'd go that far for a lie that doesn't boost her ego.
But anyway...
What *I* want to know is why she has the sudden desire to get vaccinated in general. I know some think Nader convinced her to, but I almost wonder if it's a condition someone made for her to visit (read: suck up to) her grandma. Especially where she just got paid, thus now having to face the reality that her income took a big hit with her new "content", and may be wanting to ask for some help with the bills.
And I don't believe they're being evicted. Even if you ignore the technicalities laid out by others, when someone gets an actual eviction notice they don't just go "Oh, haha, well that sucks!" and carry on. They would be actively packing shit up, doing far more cleaning, and doing much more than tossing out hypotheticals when it comes to moving elsewhere. On the condition they were given a full month to leave, I've never known someone who waits until day 29 to start packing. Eviction is fucking stressful, and while one could say that Chantal is just too high to give a fuck, Peetz doesn't have that excuse. Especially where it's his name on the lease, meaning he would be the one facing most of the consequences. As tense as things have been between them, it's never come across as that kind of tense.
I'd bet more that this is just Chantal waxing poetic about her imaginary life as a skinny legend, a reverse harem of buff foreign dudes, all living in a Barbie mansion all her own while Peetz is locked in the basement. Or, they've had a disagreement on renewing their lease. Perhaps they've only just gotten a threat of eventual eviction for whatever reason - explaining the landlord dropping in supposedly at random - and now Chantal is just pondering a possible escape scenario. Would fall in line nicely with her apparent O.D.D. too.

It seems the motivator is traveling as I see it. She's been poked by the chat room to get vaccinated though seems to be her wanting to go to a resort for a weekend that pushed her to finally just do it and realizing she can't travel out of the country without it. I think she's seeing herself as some sort of romanticized version of Middle Aged Chantal being free spirited, independent and just traveling the world as her online loyal beezers watch and live though her vicariously.
Yet she also forgets that she has severe and untreated social anxiety, practically agoraphobic and not every country has ast food as accessible or will have regional variances. She's also apt to make a bunch of faux pas and be a shitty tourist as she's also loud, obnoxious and well, Chantal.
