Well Liberal Ideas like Individualism and Secularism in application to modern times came from the Enlightenment and it's thinkers in general. Which predates the French Revolution (though the Revolution was caused by it among other factors and took some of its ideas to retarded extremes). Either way I'm not really defending the French Monarchy. They were incompetent as fuck and did a lot of shitty things. However what replaced them was still worse in my eyes. The same reason why having the Bolsheviks replace Tsar Nicholas II and the Provisional Government under Kerensky was bad even though Tsar Nicholas II was a massive retard and the Provisional Government was also incompetent as fuck.
