Eh. Weird kids get picked on all the time, and sometimes quite cruelly. And I have no doubt Bob was a weird kid. There's a grain of truth in his story, although it's swathed in the usual grandiose lies about how secretly awesome he turned out to be. (And how horridly subhuman everyone who ever took a dislike to him is.)

That's the problem in a nutshell here. He probably was bullied at some point, but it is impossible to believe him because of his history of blatantly lying. It's especially worse in this case because of his tone on the subject.

One of the things I have recently started to notice with him after all these years of observing him is that he only seems to tell the truth when he is in a genuine state of defeat. I bring up his reaction to the Russ Pitts firing a lot, but it's because it was one of the few times he came off as genuinely vulnerable and in state of hurt. He was still his angry and miserable self, but it was different from his usual insane rantings. He revealed just how much of a sham his ego is, and how much he knows it is.

I have trouble believing his bullying stories because he puts on the same facade of false bravado and "everyone else is a piece of shit but me" that he does with everything else. If he talked about in that rare state of defeat and borderline reflection I would be more inclined to believe him.

So when they see a man of virtue, anger is their first reaction because they assume only one of two things can be true of that man:

He's just a well-disciplined cutthroat who just hasn't been caught on camera yet doing what we all KNOW he does (everyone does it!)

or

He's a fool who just "doesn't get it" and should be ignored the same way you'd ignore a dog playing with a ball when it comes to the big decisions about the Forever Revolution (tm).



To Bob, an honest man is either too dumb to realize you're not supposed to be, or is really a dishonest man with a frightening degree of competency at looking honest (better at the game than you) who must be eliminated as a rival.

In this kind of worldview, where it's a 24/7 game of Among Us...... where your only means of staying alive is to either actively kill, or engineer the downfall of your potential killer through politics and mind games..... is it any wonder he can't enjoy life?

All I'll say is that I'm really fucking glad I stopped caring about the MCU at this point. Sitting through a bunch of mildly entertaining but ultimately disposable popcorn movies is one thing, but to tell me I also need to sit through a bunch of mediocre TV series on top of that is just...nah, I have much more important things to do with my time.

I basically stopped after Endgame. Kind of hard to really top a climax like that. The rumors Captain Meh-Vel will become the next leader of the Avengers did even more to turn me off.

They completely misunderstood what made the meme appealing or funny in the first place. People liked it because it was relatable and universal. Everybody knew an older woman who was up in everybody's business, belligerent and thought she was everybody's boss. Everyone had a bad experience like this, and so the Karen meme resonated with a lot of people. But the Boomer executives couldn't understand it because they're woefully out of touch, so they went on the news and had debates about whether it was sexist, or if it was a progressive statement about racism, or it was some kind of generation war brewing in our midsts and all this other inane shit. So, the end result is you get a movie like this made by insane people who've never had a social interaction in the past 20 years that wasn't heavily controlled, and they make a shitty horror movie about what they think is a super serious premise when actually its a dumb joke that isn't funny anymore.

For fuck's sake, MovieBob's out here proving the broken clock theory correct and saying this movie looks fucking stupid. That should be a sign when a manchild like Bob "thinks he's Mario and the entire Midwest is populated by Call of Duty jocks" Chipman can tell you that your movie is idiotic.

The one thing I'm sure of with Robert is that he's a disingenuous cunt at the best of times. I do not know how many red state rebels there are in Revere but I can't imagine that that number is high, if existent. For someone who had to learn how to fight at an early age, or the way he describes it learn to get the shit knocked out of him better, he is an amazing coward. Just to cut to the chase, I do not believe him. I still haven't read his book but I'm not aware of any place in it where he describes him getting bullied by "Chud Nation" (capitalized because it is a proper noun). The only bulling I can recall in his memoir is done by him, by his own words. Was he beat up at any point? Most likely, especially being the the special brand of exceptional he is and growing up in Boston in the 80's. Were they gleefully chanting some time appropriate version of "Build that wall"? Ignore that they forgot about the fat smoothbrain weirdo wannabe-bully, as they found colleges and jobs. Bob KNOWS they're republicans.

Then Trump. And now Bob KNOWs that these three guys, who probably all either went into blue or white collar jobs and don't know who he is, are MAGATARDS. Hey, he might be slightly right, maybe Fabio became one due to some bad policies for a bit or something. But odds are they are all Dems.
