Sorry for posting another Memology 101 video, but this needs to be seen. Now parents can't even protest Critical Race Theory or sing the National Anthem without getting the police called on them. This is fucking horrifying on so many levels. It's like the efforts of everyone who died to make this country and those who protected its freedoms just don't matter anymore and we should just lay down and allow everyone to be brainwashed.
And yet I'm told this is out of my control and I shouldn't worry about it anyway. Don't get me wrong, I'm proud to see my fellow Americans starting to rise up and fight back against this shitshow, but goddamn... That all it takes are a few bad eggs to bring everything crashing down is a terrifying thought.
Also, I'm sorry that I keep lamenting and doom-posting about these things, but how am I not supposed to worry when this exact same shit could eventually effect me, my friends and my family?

Eh, I wouldn't view that video as the police clamping down on Americans. It was ruled an unlawful assembly because of panicky school administrators and the guy who got arrested will probably be released as it wouldn't be worth the paperwork. This shit happens whenever you have a crowd of loud, angry people in a closed space. It is disappointing, but it is not worth doom-posting about.
The point is that you have a group that is passionate about a certain issue consistently showing up to stop a certain policy. I believe that is a certain democratic tool in the US that has been effective in improving local societies. Might want to have that tool handy for you neighborhood.
