Not to mention the mods of /r/Funhaus saying they will remove any future doom posts.

Everything is fine.

I know that shooting themselves in the foot is what RT's most famous for nowadays, but they really did do almost everything wrong since the beginning, didn't they? Turning your friend group's project into a full-fledged business is exactly what you're not supposed to do if you want lasting success and popularity online, and in retrospect it's only surprising that the harsh drop in content quality and viewership didn't come earlier than it did. Youtubers/streamers like Jerma, Vinesauce, and OneyPlays have retained the respect and loyalty of their fans over the years because they never tried to go corporate, have stayed mostly apolitical, and have successfully found ways to keep the passion and fun in their work. RT failed completely at all three.

And to think that delusional perverts like Ryan and sad drunks like Geoff and Jeremy would have had relatively normal, healthy lives had they just not had the bad foresight to become an RT employee...

They already banned the user who created that post for being anti-trans

I dunno man, Joel pushed for Cheeseburger Freedom Man pretty hard in the 2016 elections.
I can't tell if you're joking or not, Joel has pushed harder for gold bars than anything as far as I remember.

Now, was he actually antitrans or is it an excuse?

Quick scam update on Fiona's video, after over two months in the dark they released an update on post production. But it's behind a paywall (the only update to be "for backers only") so who knows. Also actually took time to look over the kickstarter and I guess it's being run by that racist Ky, so that explains the poor management of the kickstarter page.

Anyway, that's all.

Sounds like he was pretty based, he was banned for this comment responding to someone in that thread:
Jesus I hate that Funhaus has gone trans, doesn’t surprise me that the channel keeps on dying. They are not the brand they used to be, sad it’s come to this

Didn't you hear? They were bought by the Discovery channel.
Why would they buy them if they weren't profitable?
Gotta bloat that streaming service catalogue somehow.

Honestly, I think they did everything right up til selling themselves out to Fullscreen. RT was fucking exploding way back when. RVB was gaining prominence, AH Lets Plays were entertaining and they focused on bringing in talented individuals who contributed to their content, RWBY was released and met with good buzz from the fanbase. They were growing nonstop and prolly a little more after when they sold to Fullscreen, later to be bought by Warner Media.

If they'd just stayed independent or hell, maybe if they'd tried to become a conglomerate of internet talent on their own time vs selling themselves to the beast, they'd be way better off.

But now they're just dying of a thousand cuts really.

Bernie was the smartest of them all. Used his position to get a solid slam piece, cashed out, then fucked off.

Bernie pretty much stacked the wood, poured on the gas and left the matches in the hands of idiots. He wanted RT to be a TV station on the internet so badly and let incompetants and cronyism run wild while collecting all the short-term gains while the times were good, oversaw a half dozen decent ideas crash and burn with a lack of innovation outside of 'what is poular on reddit' and ended up jumping like a rat from a ship.

I wouldn't say he was the smartest, just a guy that preferred money over something he built with friends. Geoff, Gus and Matt are pretty checked out now too but Bernie was the driving force for RT's success and failure.
