Culture Teacher goes viral for lamenting she can't teach critical race theory but is required to say Pledge of Allegiance - "But I must brainwash white kids into hating themselves for my tax funded paycheck!"

An Iowa teacher has gone viral after posting a series of TikTok videos where she slammed the state’s recent ban on teaching critical race theory.

“My governor has put into place some ridiculous legislation that many governors across the country have put into place, such as I can’t teach anything divisive, I can’t teach critical race theory, and I can’t teach about racial equity,” Megan Geha, a special education teacher at Des Moines East High School, said in one of the videos.

In subsequent videos, Geha complained that she, as a teacher, can no longer be an activist like she could “in the past.”

“So, teachers, in the past, we’ve been activists, and after this s***show of last year, we really need to stand up and do what’s right for our kids right now,” she said. “This is a call to action, teachers. We really need to stand up and fight for our kids.”

“This is bulls***,” Geha added.

The special education teacher also said she was particularly bothered that she would have to continue reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, a component of the newly signed legislation.

“The other thing that my governor has mandated for next year is that every classroom, it’s mandatory that we all have an American flag, and it is mandatory that we all do the Pledge of Allegiance every morning,” Geha said. “You’re going to be hearing from me a lot next year.”

Geha told her followers that politics has been a major component of her teaching style and she is not bashful about advertising her political ideologies.

“Fifty-one percent of my students are Latinx, and many of them are undocumented, and many more have parents who are undocumented,” she said. “When they come into my classroom and see signs that say, ‘No human is illegal,’ they don’t need to know who I voted for. … When my black students come into my classroom and see my Black Lives Matter posters, I don’t need to tell them. When my LGBTQ+ students come in and see my pride flag, I don’t need to tell them.”

Earlier in the month, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed 28 bills in a single day, which included a bill banning government agencies and public educational facilities from teaching critical race theory.

“Critical race theory is about labels and stereotypes, not education. It teaches kids that we should judge others based on race, gender, or sexual identity, rather than the content of someone’s character,” Reynolds said at the time. “I am proud to have worked with the legislature to promote learning, not discriminatory indoctrination.”

Reynolds, a Republican, also recently signed legislation that makes rioting a felony and establishes qualified immunity, protecting police officers and state employees from being held responsible for monetary damages.

The principal of Des Moines East High School did not immediately return the Washington Examiner's request for comment.

Obama bussing illegals and third worlders to white states is my assumption. It should also be noted she teaches special ed kids. Why would a fucking tard need to know about BLM and shit?

The poor tard kids are more malleable. Just look at that pride flag with the added cocoa krispies stripes. We all know autists have a tendency to latch onto troon indoctrination. Guaranteed a few of those kids will be leaving her care during transition.

She's got undocumented kids and is using the term "Latinx" that their foreign parents don't understand at all because Spanish speaking countries don't use that term.

This dumpy horse toothed lunatic shouldn't be allowed anywhere near kids.

Meat processing

These industries almost exclusively hire illegal immigrants.

100% confirm this. Packing plants are responsible for almost all the corruption in the state. Busts are a shakedown and all the illegals they round up end back at the plant the next day.
Same here. Fruit warehouses are cull of illegals. One of the ones I was getting a shipment from one time had a hilarious blowout when one of the employees ran into the office, grabbed the mic and started yelling 'INS, INS!' The warehouse was dead in minutes.

Aren't there some plants in the Midwest that call ICE on their illegal labor force once they are done with them?

I recall that happening a few times while growing up but that is sure fire way for the state to actually crack down on you. I used to live across the street from a 'migrant house' and every day at 5am 20 people would pile into a van. My parents reported it a few times but it was soon figured out a city council member was the landlord of the house and his son owned the van that picked up the people. This was in the early to mid 90s' so it's been going on for a long time.

Tell them every problem they have is because of those evil white people, get them angry, point them at a target when it boils over and watch the devastation. Plus, the good old "they can't help themselves because they're handicapped" card can be pulled if any of them are ever arrested.

Why is it every single case like that is some idiot with ties to local government being a conflict of interests?
Wow its almost like parents don't want some stupid gender bitch indoctrinating their kids.
It's no wonder homeschooling/private schools are increasingly being slandered as waysist.

There's no clear distinction between the potatoes that need a pooping harness, and fairly intelligent kids that have polio braces and an asymmetrical face; they often get lumped into the same classroom in elementary grades. The especially smart but crippled kids and wheelchair paraplegics get integrated into some normal classrooms, it really depends on how many defective kids are in the district, how well they're funded, and how many sped teachers they have.

Your point about why would they need to know about BLM stands however, these kids are struggling with basic life usually, and are already understanding that the world and life is not fair by any means. Nobody understands the reality of inequality and inequity the way special ed kids do.

Oddly enough, I can see why a critical race theory jackass would teach it to SPEDS.

SPED is not just self-contained classroom environment. There is mainstreaming. There are kids at the secondary level who have Dyslexia, developmental delays where they are struggling to catch up, math disabilities, and so on. They can go to regular English class or social studies, but needs to take Consumer Math rather that pre Algebra. Some have just a physical disability and need Adaptive PE but are basically Stephen Hawking.

So you get black kids--boys in particular. Many skip classes or show up just for the sociability. Many cannot read at ALL, let alone at their grade level, but they hustle. They run dice and card games. They get up to whatever gang activity. The smarter ones PREY on the SPEDS--mainstreamed and otherwise--to "put in work."

* Hold this bag for me, buddy. I'll be right back.
* My "friend" borrowed that stereo in his car. He forgot to give it back. Go in there and get it for me, buddy. I'll wait over here.

Just a couple examples of what really happens. If your city has published mugshots and you teach in the middle and high schools, don't be surprised to see a few SPEDS showing up on there. But instead of identifying and excising the problem, they (don't even) treat the symptoms. Because that would be rayciss.

"Pledge bad" has to be the biggest meme argument ever. Kids come out of high school hating America just fine even with the pledge being said every day, no one's actually being indoctrinated by being forced to say it or by being subjected to it. It's a complete non-issue.
