General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I mean even before she moved to Mildom she didn't really stream as a vtuber, I'm wondering if there's something that stops her from doing anything on YouTube that could be considered competition.
Frankly if Cover doesn't have some form of 3-6month non-compete clause by now then you can probably chalk up another area of incompetency.

In other news, Danchou's 1M celebration. Watched in time as she performed with Coco.
Noels 3d was good. Personal highlight was just before the Coco duet, with Aki, Lammy, and Noel drinking sake in the park.

I'm making fun of him because it was retarded how he went about it.
Why complaint to Ame, one of the two we are certain belong to the coloured hair crowd, about an issue she probably pushed for?

Because -and this is my rrat right here- I'm willing to bet Cover didnt look for the expo and that Ame, along with Kiara, pushed for it.
Both of them belonging to the same crowd.
Why do you think Ame is a part of the sjw crowd except she had colored hair ? I would say it's the opposite and she is pretty based, and that she is so grateful to cover for saving her from obscurity that she doesn't care to complain where the anime expo money goes or she simply didn't know about it. Kiara tho is definitely an sjw.

Woah woah, why the hell would Ame be from the SJW crowd? She's a shitposter who panders to /vt/ goslings. I understand that she did an animal charity stream and she def has some average white girl political views but to me that's out of character. Maybe Kiara's getting ballsy after realizing she's now the one with the metaphorical dick but Ame? Nooo.
Ame voted for Gary Johnson and frequantly wishes she could go back in time to stop women from rights.

The odds of Cover even knowing what the charity is are probably low based on their competency track record, I doubt they give a single fuck and are just happy for more exposure and connections with a big con like AX.

That said, I get not wanting to politicise Hololive but this is hardly Cover insisting the girls do some Pride/BLM streams to appease the woke crowd.
The charity is some Asian-American thing if I'm reading it right? (Guess what race more than half of the AX organisers are https://spja.org/team/)

Edit: I'll probably still watch though, half the shit I buy now probably indirectly goes to support some screeching Twitter users.

what western made event doesn't involve politics
I assume Japanese stuff is full of politics too, we just don't know about it and it flies over our head. I recall the clip of Marine mentioning converting Subaru to Christianity as a joke, but from what I understand about Japan, it was actually risky and ballsy. Something you just don't do there. Makes me wonder if 2chan and the Japanese faggots who talk about idols for 1700 pages (eg our gooky mirror selves) wring hands over this sort of shit on their end.

I recently caught up on Gura and she mentioned a South Park animator doing Hololive animations of her. Found him and pretty good. Not a lot of people following him. Worth a follow as the guy seems to hammer these out pretty quick, considering. Latest one of the Ina and Kiara Cats stream.

A little out of topic, but with the recent wave of releases from WWE, I think I figured out something about how I feel about vtubers retiring/graduating. I have to say that I feel the same kind of shock and sadness when vtubers I know and I like graduate/retire, and when wrestlers get released, get fired, contract expires, etc. In both cases, I know they are still out there, they might do something else on their respective field, or they might do something completely different, but it still feels weird. And, it always feels the same.

Still, I would be lying if I said that I lost my enthusiasm for either wrestling or vtubing, because I know that there will always be talented people out there that share the passion that I and others have, and will want to showcase their passion by the work that they do. So, even if one leaves, there will always be more people that I would like to see more of.

Or, maybe I gone soft and became some kind of optimistic autist, or something.

Oh, Gurae mentioned him on stream? That's nice. I like his Hololive works. The girls really fit the South Park animation style really well

Probably the same sort of retard who's still mad that Sachiowo "abandoned" her Twitch audience.
I doubt Sachi is the type to spread her ass for the camera so it's not like she belongs on Twitch anyway.

Plus the ad situation Twitch created makes it kinda a shitty platform to stream on. YouTube isn't exactly a paradise but on streams I'd say they're winning. I'm surprised the speedrunning marathons haven't went to YT. Imagine donating $700 with a comment about how your grandpa died of cancer and missing it because Twitch wants to advertise Pokimane and the OTV drama crew.

E: Kill the animals.

I mean do people really expect Cover to care where the ticket money goes? As long as it's not something that is obviously controversial it's inconsequential to them.
Like if it was something like BDS or funding the KKK you can expect companies to back out, but not for this.
I'd also recommend not projecting your own politics on mid 20 women playing anime girls.

Jesus, Amelia recently got 7 fillings and needs to go in for another 5. If she's this bad as an adult at keeping her teeth healthy I'm sure she probably has other fillings from when she was a kid and/or teenager. She's going to end up looking like Jaws (the Bond villain, not the shark).

nah hit the nail on the head there. I've said it a few times here on the thread I'd quit vchuubas when Korone and Fubuki graduate but I know Nene and Polka have grown on me. They kinda have that upbeat, happy energy that I get from Korone or Fubuki albeit with their own spin. It's like you said, there will be talented people that share that passion you have, they fill in the holes left by those who came before them etc etc.

Anyways, enough of the optimistic autistic sappy crap. Here's Miko in a horse race. Sounds like she's almost dying from the absurdity of it.

I honestly don't care about their politics as long as they don't bring that shit to their job, in this case HoloEN. For all we know, Pekora is a hardline nationalist and UsaKen as a front for uyoku dantai propaganda and is subliminally radicalizing her "employees" but she keeps that shit off-stream, so it's okay.

That would explain why Coco joined. She wanted to camouflage her business, like yakuza groups do with uyoku dantai.

Personally i think that's reading a lot into her response, it's just a pretty direct response to a very retarded series of SCs.
Though I can buy that she doesn't really want to do it since she's also completely avoiding shilling streams after the Priconne one and told the manager responsible for promotions to not bother her with them anymore. She seems to hate money for some reason.

Maybe Ame really doesn't want money she won't have fun gaining. Pretty based I guess.

On the other hand; He could've just E-mailed Cover about this- which would cost $0 and not result in you being clowned on- if you're really this concerned about political shit. I'm potentially being optimistic here but I assume Cover knew this and didn't really care as long as their talents don't have to unmask and talk about some bullshit identity politics.
Did they forgot that AX are the ones paying for that and not Cover?

Lets be real, Ame abilities are wasted in dumb gacha games

Maybe "not even very supportive of it" was a bit hyperbolic, but still, her response to it seems to basically be a shrug.

That's what I was thinking. Gura isn't shilling Shadowverse, nor is Ina playing Diablo (Korean DNA notwithstanding. Jury is still out if she will ever try Starcraft.)

She's coming home~!

I had heard she played a lot of ARK but I obviously underestimated how much "a lot" could mean. :story:
