Funnily enough, a common accusation these days is that Kiwifarms is getting too embroiled in talking about "good targets," despicable human beings who aren't very funny but do deserve to have their literal crimes revealed, as opposed to funny crazy people who are otherwise harmless. Avowed pedophiles (frequently working with children), dog fuckers, animal torturers, rapists and sexpests, etc. all get threads with page after page of drama while "just a strange person with a strange fetish and silly grammar" tend to flounder with only a few pages for months unless they hit "happening" status.

Byuu's poorly concealed shota fetish doesn't really register on that scale of degeneracy and criminality (or about a fifth of Japan would have a thread), which is why his thread was under 20 pages, even as activism eceleb drama thread "Weeb Wars" is over 4900 pages. I can attest that even I am guilty of this despite being the one pointing it out, I read Byuu's thread shortly after it was made and didn't think anything much of it, but I did get baited into posting at least a couple times in random Weeb Wars-related topics.

Well, judging by the rate this thread is going, he might catch up soon. If he was struggling from a lack of attention, that problem is surely solved.

"Afraid" doesn't factor into it, hoarding is a power tripper's game. Things make more sense when you realize videogame preservation societies want to have a positive public image, despite being the nerd equivalent of blood diamond merchants.

GBAtemp's become troon central (in addition to the usual kids wanting free games for their hacked systems) in the last 10ish years (as far as i've seen). I expect nothing but the best kinds of posts from that thread.
