Computers thousands of times more powerful than the SNES have been around for more than two decades at this point. bsnes is important because it finally took lazy emulator writers to task for all the bugs and oversights they'd ignored for years and acted like fags about fixing.

You wanna know why snes9x isn't a steaming pile of inaccurate horseshit these days? Because bsnes happened and forced them to actually address inaccuracies in the emulation core. Prior to that, their only competition was zsnes, an emulator so inaccurate that there's an entire category of romhacks tagged 'zsnes only.'

You can think byuu is a fag and still like his emulator. There's no need to shit on perfectly good software because the dev is a furry troon.

You don't know autism until you meet train people. Foamers aren't the most common, but holy mother of god are they strange creatures. Shaner here is an excellent example of one, with one hell of a saga. One of the threads I really followed when I was new on the site.
