In nicer words -- I was still in the bubble at the time, after all. That got me on their shitlist and they hounded the fuck out of me -- they hated me more than the actual alt-righters that were posting on the site every so often, or the pet conservative they let stay around because he was so milquetoast and ineffectual.

They eventually banned me for some unspoken reason -- probably that I just refused to accept the love of clown world into my heart -- which was enough of a shock to my system that it sent me out of the bubble. They followed me around on Twitter for YEARS afterwards, every so often I'd get a flood of faggots swarming some mildly right of center take and I'd go hit up that site and find they had linked to a tweet I made in their latest thread.

You wanna know why snes9x isn't a steaming pile of inaccurate horseshit these days? Because bsnes happened and forced them to actually address inaccuracies in the emulation core. Prior to that, their only competition was zsnes, an emulator so inaccurate that there's an entire category of romhacks tagged 'zsnes only.'
