When you think about it this guy had no real reason to anhero: his thread was a joke, he wasnt doxed only his shitty online fursona was and even then he would lose nothing by letting it go since it was already tarnished in the emu community anyway and he would be better off reinventing himself with another project than to keep dragging the same nearly 20-year old nickname that for some reason he also linked to his furry fetish. I honestly think it's rational to think this is a bait until there's proof.

I think it's perfectly reasonable for a semi-competent individual to try to big brain Null and have him fall for his 'accept my bribe' trap. Then he could be the legend that took down Kiwifarms instead of just some random emulator developer. When it didn't work immediately and Null said they had to talk it through with a lawyer they realized it wouldn't work and panicked and told their friends they're gonna game end themselves to raise the stakes and try to force Null to give in.

Until there's proof imho that's a pretty reasonable explanation.

I hadn't realized how autistic the story was at first but apparently the "anonymous" friend saw a guy explicitly saying he'd neckrope and even show him pictures of a noose and he just sort of shat himself and did nothing for an entire hour while listening to some music playing in the call. Then it apparently dawned on him the dude might be dead.

Even if it were our fault that he committed not alive (it wouldn't be in any case because we didn't put the noose around his neck) it's much more likely that this person would face legal consequences instead of any of us because he failed miserably to get any help.

Their excuse will be weak and flimsy: "I would call, but I didn't think they would understand English." Where this falls apart is where Byuu is living: Japan.

What else is going on in Japan this summer, and would drive a concentrated effort to have cops study foreign languages?

My guess is they kept Byuu on the line for an hour to prevent people who would confirm he is safe from actually contacting him.

The point is it's a boneheaded move to decide as the owner of this forum, of this kind of forum, that you should volunteer veto power to the very person who's the sole focus of the thread they don't like. Allow it this time and then there's no reason to not allow it any other time, for any other cow who either already constantly cries suicide or could cynically start crying suicide.

How is this difficult to understand? If you're going to give advice to the forum owner then at a minimum you should try to grasp what their ongoing concerns are.
