The numbers in this report are jaw dropping.

I assume the under 50 unvaccinated number is skewed because a significant part of the reporting period, Feb-Jun, had little to no vaccination occurring in that age group. If these figures are correct the vaccines are a total fucking scam and worse than that may be making the most vulnerable more susceptible to catching Covid.

The UK should not be having any kind of Covid outbreak right now as they're clearly above the threshold at which herd immunity has been achieved.

At least a third of their population have natural immunity from catching the virus.

On top of that 65% of their population have had at least one dose of vaccine with about half being fully vaccinated.

So they're way, way above the 60-70% herd immunity target, so why the fuck are they reporting 20,000 cases per day if the vaccines work?

Either the vaccines are nothing more than an expensive placebo or worse they're causing people who already have natural immunity to lose it and exposing them to further infection.

These aren't numbers from some right wing conspiratard website, they're straight from the UK government.

I "transitioned" to "normal life" over a FUCKING YEAR AGO when the data came in and it was clear the virus was not a significant threat or risk. These people are insane.

For me 2020 was surprisingly normal in spite of the insane world around me. Any worry I had went away in March 2020 when I saw the stats, realized this wasn't some dangerous plague, and knew the cure for it (zinc, vitamin D, melatonin, NOT BEING A FAT FUCK). It was fascinating to see my parents go from "I'm a little worried we'll catch it so we have our masks and all" to "this is a scam" over the course of 2020 (well, they believe whatever Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson tell them). 2020 for me was great, except for having to shop remotely for everything since I didn't care to play ball with the facemask bullshit and it's funny to see them wait on me hand and foot with my orders of groceries or whatever. Even when my job told me I had to wear a mask, they said a neck gaiter was okay and just so happened to be the time of year it was fucking cold when no shit I'd wear that. And funny enough, that requirement went away this spring.

It's a total joke. I'll never stop being amazed at how insane these people are.

I hope it's way less, since Delta variant sounds like a blessing given its low fatality rate. Your vaccines are worthless, even the WHO admits it. The only thing I'm remotely worried about is the local idiot big city mayor (D) reimposing unscientific orders, but hey, anyone sane was always worried more about the government than the virus. At least in more sane parts of the state I will still get my hair cut, shop at non-chain stores, and eat at non-chain restaurants where neither myself nor anyone else is wearing a mask, just like in the entirety of 2020-2021. From the way it sounds, most of the people who will die will be vaccinated.

Three "pro-vax" arguments can be made in response to the study:
1) There is no proven causative relationship between vaccination and death (meanwhile, some fat fuck can have a lethal stroke or a heart attack, return positive PCR test and will be counted as COVID death. There are cases when terminal cancer patients tested positive, had no symptoms and got counted as COVID deaths)
2) In older age groups, vaccine effectiveness (and therefore NNTV to prevent death) will be higher (no shit, now let's compare NNTV and post-vaccination death risks in lower age groups ~~~OY VEY SHUT IT DOWN).
3) There is 40-fold difference in adverse events rates among EU countries, you can't use Dutch data, they're over-reporting adverse events and therefore deaths (historically, adverse events, even serious, are vastly under-reported. The population of different EU countries is not that genetically different, could it be that the Dutch did better job at tracking adverse events?).

The article in Vaccines is far from perfect, but it indicates urgent need for re-assessing vaccine safety, IMO.

I have several questions/thoughts on this:
1) What are the restrictions on vaxxed sheeple versus unvaxxed thought-criminals? I can imagine people getting their shots, going out to party because "lol I'm protected" and then catching a vaccine-resistant strain while the unvaccinated are still forced to be cooped up inside
2) How many of the vaccinated under 50 are healthcare workers; ergo more likely to be exposed to the virus while also more likely to have to get routinely tested
3) Because its the >50 demographic in question, one has to wonder if the same people with busted immune systems who gave us the "COVID doesn't give you antibodies!" meme are also not getting the proper reaction from the vaccine (e.g. the wild virus wont cause your body's defense to act proper, neither will the vaccine fake virus)
