This is a completely ineffectual protest.

The point of protests is to force someone to change something. Their first go-to was to try and scare people with bad PR to get Kiwifarms offline - done before to get payment providers to pull support for KF.

Initially, they tried to contact the Kiwifarms host, until they learned that Null hosts the Kiwifarms. Then they tried to contact Cloudflare, but Cloudflare didn't care. Then they briefly tried to contact customers of Cloudflare, but the customers didn't care (because that's a bit like harassing someone for using Amazon Cloud Services because you found out someone else blamed a website that's hosted on Amazon Cloud for them allegedly killing themselves). They're trying to find the data center, but even if they do, I doubt the datacentre will care.

So now they're... removing SNES and Famicon cores? Is anyone who has any potential ability to influence the continued existence of Kiwifarms going to care that they can't download an emulator of a video game console from the 90s?

In that case, the time in the google doc is off by an entire hour, unless it was either entirely made up (most likely scenario) or Byuu tweeted after going silent on the phone for over an hour.

I don't want to be rude or anything, but are you sure the Japanese times are correct? How is it that you determined the times?

When I created my timeline, I used this site to convert the times (just to be accurate), and when you put the time of Byuu's final email and convert it to Tokyo time, you get this:


I think it's safe to assume that the times shown in the doc are supposed to be in Tokyo time.

I still don't know what the deal is with this emulator because snes9x and zsnes had always done the job, beyond some super techy thing people explained that in the end wasn't some world changing thing, just a toy.
