Skitzocow Taxman / Kyle Hawkins

I have it in good that Tax has lost a couple of close... best friends, recently. From the looks of it, he's been up all night binge drinking and panicking.

One simply must wonder why he's so worried. He's been so adamant and confident about physically getting to Equestria that you'd think he wouldn't really care about this world ending, but it's always been for show. With each fit of drunken rage, plea for aid, and act of desperation, it becomes ever-more clear how truly doubtful he must be that he'll actually succeed. The longer he keeps this up, the more people turn their backs to him. This is utterly pitiful.

Let's try not to make this thread devolve into a debate on how to survive when SHTF.

Taxman has obviously unblocked /pol/ and is reading religiously the "happening" threads where they take the recent stock market drop and extrapolate it into the world collapsing.

/pol/ tards always do that. Every single market correction is the imminent end of everything.

Taxman is basically /pol/ with ponies.

I think buying gold is a great idea, that way when everyone's gone insane and they see you sporting tons of shiny swag they'll assume you're a God.

I am a member of a forum with a couple of members who lived through the Bosnian conflict in the late 90's, they have been prity open about what happened to the rich folks with gold, silver etc they just got shot an there stuff was taken from them an nobody really cared. What will get you stuff you want are little luxuries, things like Lipstick, Tobacco, Brand Name Alcohol, Can's of Coke they are small portable an make you king of trades (A guy giving up a 40 a day habit involuntarily will give you a awful lot of stuff for a single smoke or half a used pack).

But what will get you through such a conflict is Skill's, nobody wants to kill a useful man I'm not talking about what a lot of prepers call skill's, but genuine skill's with tangible results. Want to keep that power plant running you don't kill the engineers, take over a oil field you don't kill the guy's who know how to run the place. Want to make Chemical weapons you don't kill the Chemists, etc. I know that's not always true but for most of human history it is, an sadly it's why a awful lot of the people who survived the Holocaust Death Camps where from skilled trades.

That comes from one of the guy's I have spoken to, who's Family is Muslim an only survived because his Dad was a machinist an he was a apprentice who knew how to use a lathe.

Sadly Taxman comes off as and is the other kind, He see's a event that's going to shake the world in his eyes (at least) and is using his own limited understanding filtered through crazy to come up with a plan to survive. If society did colapse he would be the guy preaching his own form of repentance who would get put down quickly an messily. He is the priest you see in all Zombie films who is telling the running crowd to repent then gets munched by a few hundred hungry zombies or in reality he nutter who isn't liked by one of the parties and is bumped off out of petty revenge or just because they can.

I feel for Taxman I really do as from what I have seen of him if he stopped drinking an got some help he could be a OK guy, but sadly that's not going to happen.

Marijuana can cause psychosis in individuals predisposed to it. Individuals like Taxman, for example. He strikes me as the sort of person who gets really paranoid when stoned. If he's been taking the advice he gave in this video about stockpiling guns and ammo, that would be a really bad thing.

Sadly, I think Taxman's primary skill isn't going to be of much use in a collapse. I'm not talking about his wine tasting, or his cooking, or his forum administration, or his pony lore, or even whatever the fuck he did in the Army. No, his primary skill is the ability to make people feel sorry for him. Just look at this thread, everyone pities Taxman. I do! But pity only goes so far in normal times, and nowhere at all in a major crisis.

This, about the marijuana thing. Don't give it to a schizophrenic. Especially not one who has guns, or is keen on getting some, and is paranoid. You're kind of asking for a disaster that way.

Also, for the record, despite stating that 'the situation is pitiful' several times, I don't take pity on Tax. There are probably several others here who don't either. It's definitely not an easy situation, nor a happy one, and sadness or pity are rather compulsory, if that's the right word, but not necessary, not in the slightest.

This guy can barely afford $200 worth of gold and silver panic-bought for societal collapse. If he has any guns, they're shit. If he has any ammo, it's not in any real number. Going from his house tour video, and how much he likes to show off, he would have shown off any guns he owned.

Sounds like he's been listening to too much disinformation from the right.

If the economy were to collapse, gold and the like would not be your best bet. That stuff only holds value because people place value in it. It can't feed you. It can't protect you and it can't actually buy anything unless the person selling accepts it as currency.

If he's this concerned then he should look into buying guns, ammo, camping / survivalist gear and canned foods. Things that you can use and more importantly if you can show that you can use them well are worth more than some shiny metal you have with you. Either that or adopt another currency. The dollar might have lost some of it's lustre but there are other currencies out there that are just as stable and in the case of an economic collapse the US might simply switch to one of them.

I agree. Precious metals are good investments for recessions and perhaps depressions, but for SHTF, guns, food, seeds, survival gear, body armor, and skills are your best bets.

Marijuana is probably harmless for most people, but it is just no favor to a schizophrenic mind to dump any kind of psychedelic into it.

Unfortunately for Taxman, there is nothing he hates more than being pitied. He wants to be admired.

This is why all talk of trying to somehow help him is basically bullshit. He would reject anything like help that derives from the fact you pity him.

It's quite the Chinese finger-trap this poor son of a bitch has manufactured for himself.

Absinthe you can buy today is really no different than any other type of booze.
It's just anise flavored liquor, sometimes it has a higher ABV than other types of drinks. It has thujone in it but only so little that it doesn't have any effect.
I actually quite like it, the sweet potent flavor of the anise in combination with the high alcohol content gives it a nice kick.
Anyway the last thing people with psychotic tendencies need is marijuana I've seen it exacerbate those kinds of problems first hand.

I decided to engage in a chat with Taxmann, and he admitted that he has immediate access to firearms.

Of course. You're going to need the guns and ammo to protect yourself. The seeds and the food to feed yourself. And the skills to make you too valuable to kill. Some guy that has a large quantity of gold and nothing else will find himself dead and the guys with the guns will have taken it from his cold, dead hands.

Besides, peak gold was in 2012, we probably won't hit that height again for another 10 years if not more unless everybody starts buying gold again and the process will repeat itself.. But we'll have to see.

Which is why I always say if you want it and don't want to pay the price, just have a pastis like Pernod or Ricard. Mix water with it and you get the same louche that you see in a good absinthe and it already has some sugar so you don't need to do the drippy thing with the spoon.
