It's more likely that Ralph is just completely cut off and out of the loop and hasn't even been informed that the child is here.
Ralph would never even spend two seconds putting two and two together to figure out that babies can't be in the womb for 10+ months and that it would have been born ore way or the other.

Gunt refering to Xander as unborn over and over again is classic distancing language.
We will probably never hear Gunt refer to Xander as "My Child" or "My Son" because then he'd have to start answering questions about where the child is or why he isn't taking care of it.
