I take that back, they're both idiots. The Con, and the "Legal Team."

The stance is actually intelligent, it's what Funimation should have done a while back. (ie. not say anything about why Vic was fired) I also think it's ridiculous to paint the con as terrible because it's run by volunteers, most cons are and should , in my opinion, be run that way and shouldn't be an indicator of quality or lack thereof.

All that said, all this "banning" nonsense is clout chasing and back-patting by morons. "Banning" means he is not allowed at the convention and I am willing to bet before this he could've bought a ticket like anyone else and showed up at the convention. It is exceedingly rare that someone is truly "banned" from a con because it is a lot of hassle to enforce that. It is entirely possible that some people decided to "never" invite him back, and that can happen for incredibly stupid or petty reasons. The same is entirely true in reverse, there are guests that will (by their choice) never go back to a certain convention. I'm sure that's more unusual now because "money talks" but back in the 2000s, it was incredibly common for guests to avoid or decline a convention simply because they didn't like or get along with certain people. Years ago, getting anime guests was more about the relationships than the money.

The lack of intelligence and self awareness is astounding. I don't know much about the person but it's obvious this is about internet addiction taking control of his life. It's such a problem, and the people of twitter are a major factor in it but all the bullies and abusers want an easy scapegoat so they can continue.
