IDK if this has been posted or if its relevant here, but Oli London, a “non-binary” (they/them pronouns) British plastic surgery/K-Pop obsessed freak is facing accusations of “transracialism”, cultural appropriation and probably “yellow-face” because he got surgery to look like a K-Pop star and now identifies as “Korean”.
I‘m not going to take his plastic surgery/culture claims seriously, a lot famous/rich people get “new faces”. I just wonder if he would be facing the same backlash for saying that he identifies as trans/pansexual/etc? I mean, these people argue to the death about “social constructs” and “personal feelings/identity”, no matter how absurd.
EDIT: Putting his face in a spoiler:
Critics have accused Oli London of cultural appropriation but the influencer says they want others to respect their decision.

Transracialism is way more plauseable than transgenderism, but because it doesn't satify any male kinks (or at least any mainstream male kinks) it is dismissed.
Race is a far more socially contructed concept than sex. Yeah black and white will always be different, but who is white has greatly changed over time. 100 years ago, the Irish were considered the "inside-out-negro".
In modern times all Europeans except turks are white. Literally 80-100 years ago this was the complete opposite. There were strict racial catagories for all pale skinned Europeans to be put in. If you looked differered slightly from the powers who dominated western civilisation (UK, France, Prussia and Austria) you bet your ass you weren't white.
Slavs, Irish, Italians, Iberians, Jews and Balkaners weren't "white", they were just another category.
But now all those groups are classified as "white" in mainstream culture. However, the Turks are considered
Arab non-white because they are muslim while the rest of the balkans are white because they are Christian, despite having extremely similar ancestry due to centuries of Ottoman rule.
And even then, some Arabs are considered white. The notion of who is "white" is modern culture is now so broad that the Mr Robot guy is included. Some people do "pass" as a different race very easily.
And if they say they
100% are that race, most people wouldn't care to argue about it.
Of course people like Oli who do Asian face are way funnier but it isn't inherently wrong if transgenderism is considered acceptable.
Transracialism 100% fits LITERALLY ALL tranny talking points, just replace the word sex/gender with race.
"Why does the race I was born matter? You can't always tell what race people are when you meet them. anyway!"
"From a young age I've always identified with another race, I just never felt at home in my own skin."
"I'm white, I'm was just ATAB (assigned Turkish at birth)."
"I love hiphop, rap and gangsta culture! I always knew I was never truly white."
In comparison, sex is fixed and concepts of who is biologically male and female have never changed, and rights and privilages for those 2 catagories were dolled out accordingly. If you believe you can live as the opposite sex then there is no reason to say someone can live as another race.
The one "reason" used is that "it is offensive and racist" which illustrates why sadly, we will never get Transracialism to go mainstream.
It offends men and women of all races. But Transgenderism just offends women. So guess which one gets normalised...
Edit: I have been advised that Turks are not technically arabs, which further illustrates how arbitrary the distinctions between certain races are. They literally look arab, yet the disctinction of who is arab and who is not comes from a political border, not physical appearences.
