Byuu claimed to be reverse engineering hardware, and they sell video game peripherals, so it would actually make sense for them to poach him. He also claimed to live in Arakawa, so he'd have a half hour commute from there to Sotokanda in Chiyoda if he got the metro.

Cyber Gadget Corporation is listed as only having 23 employees, so even if Byuu largely worked from home they'd all know him. The CEO is Takaaki Kato/加藤　貴章. Finding some other employees might lead to someone who knows if Byuu is dead and they may have posted about it on socials. Their name in Japanese is 株式会社サイバーガジェット. I'll try and do some digging.
