I see what you mean, but I do think it could help. And perhaps I was unclear - I don't mean that these people should publicly apologise to their loved ones and friends and intimate relations, but more about things that they did in public.
Personally it would give me a lot of hope if a detransitioner came out and said "I got that account/subreddit/whatever banned three years ago, (or) I went to this and this protest and punched a woman in the face, (or) I told JK Rowling I hoped she got raped to death, and I was wrong and behaved badly, and I apologise." The emotional manipulation tactics from trans spaces doesn't disappear from a person's psyche once they leave them. It's just instead of "call me a man or I'll suicide" it's "be nice to me or I'll trans again."

More frustrating than this cycle is the stubbornness most gc / rad spaces have in not recognizing this pattern. I've been exposed to Terf musings for awhile now, and I'm wondering if they're onto something in the way that young girls are being groomed type of thing. We all know adult Troons target the young. Not really radfem-focused, but some people here who are into imageboards may find crystal.cafe interesting. It is a board for females only and has several gender discussion containment threads. The only other imageboard with women in the majority that I know of is lolcow.farm.

I find that sex-segregated communities become insanely unpleasant with time because people who have issues with the opposite sex and cannot shut up about them are always most of the userbase.
