While I'm excited to learn more about their relationship... Oh, who am I kidding, they'll probably make them out to be fucking siblings.

RWBY can't have any straight relationships anymore or else the fanbase will go feral. The fanbase already fucking despises Ruby X Oscar or whatever.

Is it bad if that's the kind of dynamic I like with Roman and Neo? I'm not exactly much of a shipper anyway.

I wouldn't have high hopes for Cyborg, given how Volume 8 ended for Ironwood and Penny. The writers really have it out for people who need prosthetics.

You'd think there'd be some kind of slur for Faunus, like how Tamaraneans have "Troq". The most we get is the occasional animal comment.

Don't forget how one of the things Robyn Hill, the Hillary Clinton allegory, wanted was to rebuild a wall to keep Grimm out while Jacques and Ironwood didn't think it was a priority. I'm not saying that immigrants are just as deadly as Grimm, but I find it weird nobody brings up the fact that it's the Clinton allegory, not the Trump allegory, who's goal is to build a wall.

I even came up with a simple one - "critter" for Faunus. I pitched it to Celtic Phoenix and now it's used on Fixing RWBY and on TVTropes. See how easy that was, RT? Kids can actually understand this slur better because it hits home hard.

Alternatively, something along the lines of mutt. Hell, there's dozens of viable options, but RT put 0 effort into their racism allegory because it might be offensive if shared too many parallels with reality.

Panthers was violent and they didn’t show the good aspects the group did like helping the community, which was the work of their enemies and racists, and the dynamics in power they were moving to change, and how he pointed out that the White Fang has the same rap (and how Salem could have just moved to control the world by silently supporting people who keep terrible conditions that cause resentment (and with it, negative emotions that create Grimm) intact.

Of Course Unitard of War is sympathetic to the Blackie rip-off of the National Socialist Party.

That's the problem with the WF in general, as @Sleazy Car Salesman said previously; Are they really fighting for a noble cause? No joke, a mobile tower defense waifu game had a much better written version of WF compared to RWBY. Hell, they even had the very similar origin story, a protest movement meant to remove oppression and normalize their people in society but overtime went militant and self destructive once the main story takes place.

Do they even explain why theres racism against the faunus? Other than just them being different?

I took a look through the wiki and didn't see much. Like humans didn't like them because they;re different. There was a big grimm attack on some city, so Humans and faunus worked together to destroy it which made humans not hate them. Then there was another war, this time between humans the faunus helped in and were rewarded an island paradise and basic rights for their efforts. Then humans just want to take away the rights because?

How much set up for this racism is there exactly?
