Are you getting the vaccine? - Absolute trashfire thread, please enter with caution

You con artists! you parroting puppet gangster playboy scum on top! Cannot stop me User names must be unique of 29 Maple Avenue, Hampstead, New York exposing your tricks, your deadly worldwide Communist Gangster Computer God SECRET OVERALL PLAN: WORLDWIDE LIVING DEATH FRANKENSTEIN SLAVERY to explore and control the ENTIRE UNIVERSE with the endless "COVID VARIANTS"

I personally feel fine from my first jab, but booster immunity seams like a load of bs, after all no other virus has needed boosters. I could understand a different vaccine for a new strain after all Covid 19 is just a new strain of SARS, but I don't get the booster argument to be made widespread for the elderly I understand but for fit and healthy people one vaccination (two jabs) should be enough to ward of an infection.

Most people will be told to get the vaccine, so sure. However, we have spazes on here who are afraid of vaccines because they're schizotards who are off their meds
The current narrative from the highest level vegetable of a president to the lowest tik tok dancing nurse is to get the jab, so that's no surprise. And again, it has been mentioned before but dismissing those who don't want to get the jab as "schizo" or "antivax" is a huge misnomer and only serves to widen the rift and increase animosity for no reason. However, I know that's part of your schtick on the farms to carry on.

The last official media I got from this whole thing was that the mRNA shots will last a long time. That was like last week.

Got the second one (AZ) this evening after work. I initially missed the 3-month endow they originally specified you'd need to have both vaccines in, but that apparently doesn't matter now.

My motivation is still having them on the off chance they'll become de rigueur for international travel. I'm planning an international move soon, and don't want any potential snags.

Anyway, preloaded myself with paracetamol this time, hopefully won't feel too shitty in the next twelve hours. Documentation is all in order, copies made, etc.

Were I not moving, I wouldn't have bothered with any of them.

See that's part of my concern going forward, if I'm vaccinated by one of the most 'powerful' vaccines ever made why should it require booster shots. If its the most powerful, bad ass vaccine ever then why is it weaker than the vaccines you get as a kid.

Because its a coronavirus.

Work is letting all who have had both jabs show up physically again in a few weeks, and I'm really feeling pressured from people around to get it. While they can't fire me if I refuse it, my coworkers have all gotten it, so I'll just end up being singled out. Not getting jabbed will also set off some alarms from my higher-ups, and at that point I'll perpetually be one minor screw-up away from "I think we should go our separate ways." What do, Kiwis? I was hoping I could wait for FDA approval, but I guess that's just crazy talk now. I think I can only hold out for another month before I have to suck it up.

And to be fair to the vaccine, the members of my immediate family have all gotten both Moderna jabs, and they've been doing really well. Only my mom has ever felt anything from it.

Have you read most of what the anti-vax tards are claiming? That's some schizo shit. Sorry your fellow anti-vax tards are schizos, but they're your people, so you gotta own it.

I've a large or interesting car which might be used for my youngest sister's wedding so I'm getting a pile of harassment to get the vax. Meh.

just got my 2nd dose, I wasn't allowed to choose my vaccine and daddy trudeau made us dosemix. After dose 1 of pfizer I actually felt unusually good but my 2nd dose is moderna and I feel like I've been hit by an 18 wheeler that's 6 hours behind schedule.

Still worth it though. Can't wait to watch antivaxxers become 2nd class citizens because of their own hubris.

The antivax tards you claim of are not the people in question. That vocal minority is clearly pretty crazy but the group I'm talking about is the one that is skeptical of the recent covid specific vaccines. The overlap between the two groups is logically expected and the constant dismissal of that obvious distinction between the two is just ignorant, but that's expected from the likes of the Trust The Science group. There is no reason to take responsibility for the obvious antivax crazies or associate them with people who have genuine concerns over the vaccine and all that surrounds it. It's not like non Christians bash or harangue any Christian they might meet because of a few fringe radicals in the past like Westboro Baptist Church or David Koresh and his Branch Davidians.

Don't you know? Every single person who opts not to get the vaccine MUST be doing it because they believe Bill Gates put micro-chips in it!

sarcasm

I've been pressured by a handful of people to get the vaccine. Literally none of those people have told me, "Well, talk to your doctor about it to put your concerns to rest." All of them have told me to "just get it."

I even have consulted two of my doctors about it, and I've been advised to not get the jabs (at least not yet). I tell people this, and I still get pressure from them to get vaccinated; in fact, they act even worse after I tell them because they assume that I'm lying or some shit.

The peer pressure that people are experiencing are coming from anything but a reasonable or a remotely understanding/not condescending place. People need to stop pretending otherwise, for crying out loud.
