Forgot to quote it, but pages ago, people were discussing the military-to-transwoman pipeline. Can anyone tell me of a troon who is ex-military but wasn’t already rich/privileged when he went in?
I have a theory that the disposition to troon comes BEFORE the military service. I know poor people sometimes join the military just to get college paid for etc. Do those people ever troon?
you are right, most military troons seem to be from Officer class.
I think that the military connection is mostly just linked to narcissistic identity shit. To a certain type of person being a general or admiral just sounds really bad-ass and troons, all else equal, are more likely to be motivated by those sorts of fantasies and to use them to guide their actual behavior.
Officer connection probably exists, would make sense when you remember that AGP-type troons tend to be higher than average IQ, or at least they used to be. Hard to say how true that is now absent data, though I would guess it still holds. Higher IQ=>More likely to become an officer, also officer probably more appealing from a fantasy perspective.
Yes, this is real. Sharkboy spent some months in a hospital and has since been posting a lot on reddit.
This FAQ is very interesting, it confirms a lot of what we suspected already.
>more information about how he removed his testicles at home
>used to self-harm/cut
>father is no longer in the picture
>mother rejected his homosexuality
>had a difficult childhood, father may have been depressed, some neglect or even abuse may have happened
>he used to enjoy being the 'mythical creature dickgirl' but after neovagina surgery men rejected him
>he now has to compete with normal women for straight men and it just doesn't work
It's sad how much of a cliché this is for the HSTS.
But he seems to be doing better. He claims he will have a stable place to live soon and he wants to go back to studying. He has meds that work. Godspeed, Sharkboy.
EDIT: Because this is Sweden a based Muslim doctor told the truth.

The closet reference is probably directed towards his 'being' a troon, not necessarily that he is gay.
I don't think Sharkboy is really a HSTS in any proper sense. I think he's a nerd, probably high on sperg traits, definitely crazy, but not a naturally feminine, or even gay, male. His sole interests were computers and video games, not fashion and pop culture. A lot of those sorts have really strange patterns of sexual desire/behavior. It's just like the archer guy, he has a boyfriend (bearded nerdy, soy sort of guy). David Torrey Peters is another example of this, has a fiancé (1 e) apparently, yet the guy literally wrote about how he was sexually obsessed with women, and he's a turbo AGP.
The willingness to sleep with and even date men is just because playing the role they've imagined for themselves works to outweigh whatever predisposition towards women they may have. This is doubly true in cases where the troon doesn't fetishize lesbianism, but has strongly heteronormative ideals. Moreover, many will find that it is literally impossible to find a woman willing to date them, while they can always LARP as a woman and flirt about, which many AGP-type troons seem to enjoy doing. Easy to see that a troon could end up essentially going prison gay from there, if he gets positive feedback from men.
Drop in sex-drive due to anti-androgens/castration probably plays a role in this pattern, as does the notion that homosexual troons are in some sense more 'real' -- can be very 'validating' to conceive of yourself as being HSTS.
Also with the archer guy, 2008 is around about when he started HRT, which is possibly why he made deviant art,
some wargaming forum and wikipedia accounts (stephanielauren79) at that time. This also means that any government employment records won't be for a "Stephanie", but for whatever his original name was. If there exists a record of employment then you'll just have to search by his surname, Barrett. I pissed around on
https://opengovca.com/ontario-employee for something, and couldn't find anything.
He also used to go by Aerlynn some time around 2012 (per twitter timeline), but that's such a generic name, and it leads nowhere. I think it was just a throw-away alias. He also has brother
Geoff Barrett and a relative of some sort (sister? sister-in-law?) named Lindsay Barrett. I couldn't find any other definite relatives. He's actually such a retard for making it so easy to get positive confirmation that he's a troon. It might be obvious to us based on interest patterns, physical features, but none of that is dispositive. Now, it'll turn up in the media or whatever that a troon is pretending to be a woman and going to the Olympics. All avoidable, if he wasn't so careless.
Legit a bit MATI.
Trans women don't get a benefit from endogenous testosterone
relative to themselves. Adding testosterone above the level you normally have is a performance benefit. But if you're already at a higher testosterone level you're going to be doing a lot better because your set point is higher - it's not the only factor, but it comes into it.
The IAAF rules are 0.12 to 1.79 nmol/L, nothing to do with 10 nmol/L, that's just the lower end of the reference range for men used by the IAFF. The low testosterone shown in male samples may be related to the gruelling training that elite athletes have to maintain, as it has been shown that exercise to exhaustion in young troops can lead to a state of ‘functional hypogonadism’ that resolves spontaneously with rest and a good night’s sleep, and those samples were all taken within two hours of competing in a sport. The histogram's not even in the original paper, there's a value plot.

Testosterone values of ≥6.9 nmol/L in women warrant consideration of an ovarian or adrenal tumor, because that's so insanely high. If there's women running around with >15 nmol/L of testosterone (let alone that one woman who's >30 nmol/L) there is something
seriously wrong with them and they need medical attention, or they've got an intersex condition, or they're transgender.
But if there's an argument that testosterone does nothing to boost your performance (and separately that lowering your testosterone through HRT removes "male body advantage"), let's let that 0.5% of men who fit under the threshold for women's sport compete and have a looksy at who's winning the golds in those categories.
Honestly, it is not at all unlikely that the massive outliers are literally just dopers.
There are also two other fallacies in the above troon's posts. The first one is that the maximum threshold for women is basically ridiculous, 10nmol/L is just insanely high for a woman, that's why so many men can meet the threshold. It says nothing about actual testosterone levels in women. The second problem is range restriction, this is actually two problems really. In women, the range of testosterone levels is just really small, aside from outliers who have hormonal conditions or just plain doping.
In men, testosterone levels do obviously vary a lot, but you've already restricted yourself to the absolute pinnacle of performance, so naturally everyone has really strong physiological response from their androgen related pathways. So, you observe no correlation, or at least a very insignificant one, because there is a million ways to get that outcome. This is because, as 'Laura' alluded to, hormones are signalling molecules, they're part of larger feed back chains, governed by complicated homeostatic mechanisms and so forth. However, if you don't restrict performance range and instead sample the entire population, you'll find testosterone
does positively correlate with increased performance, because one way to get a stronger physiological response is to have whatever is regulating testosterone levels just set the target level really high. But again, that's only true if you have significant variation in androgen related physiological responses, a major determinant of male performance.
